Stayed for a week. Hotel is Clean, quite, pics are pretty accurate. Only thing to keep in mind, remote control in room controls everything, from TV to turning on a/c and specific lights.free internet, flat screen TV in room, but I strongly suggest ckecking out SROAMING POCKET WIFI if your someone who needs access to internet at all times (avail at airport but must reserve device in advance on website) Staff speaks moderate English and are helpful. Location, close to several restos and about 10 min walk from station, so travelling to other parts of Seoul using public transport is very accessable. It is in the area that is known for its clubs and love hotels but also having one of the oldest outdoor markets and time square mall which is just across from station. personally if I were to vacation in Seoul again I would go back back to this hotel, it wasn't five star but if your like me and you only need a bed, shower and plan on exploring Seoul rather than staying in your room the entire time then this is the place.

I stayed here 4 nights. It's clean and quiet. It's about a 5 - 10 min walk to get to either one of two subway stations. Food and shopping is on the way to the Yeongdeungpo station as well as in the station. Some of the staff speak good enough English but not all of them.

The rooms are dark and gloomy, the bathroom was awful the lights were red mixed with yellow and green. When we checked in earlier (10:00AM) they charged us 25,000 won. Trash from other customers were left in the trash bin in the bathroom. Used soap was left in the soap dish and the shower and lights were malfunctioning, the lights turned off automatically while my friend was using the bathroom which really scared her (it was pitch dark). The only good thing about this place are the free movies, free internet and big flat screen TV.

That clich¿¿ phrase "You get what you pay for" exists for a reason. Here I thought I found quite the bargain. $80 for a double twin in August? That's a bargain.The staff is nice and accommodating. Luckily, language isn't that big of a problem for me (I am Korean-American, grew up speaking Korean with my parents) so maybe that's why things seemed relatively seamless.I did struggle somewhat finding out how to work the universal remote that controls the TV, lights, and air conditioning. The TV offers basic cable, plus two soft core porn channels so parents with children should adjust their children's access to the remote accordingly. The computer with the video-on-demand was not available for me to use; the ethernet cable was unplugged from the computer and is definitely not accessible to replug.The beds themselves have cheap mattresses with minimal bedding. Basically two pillows and a comforter. I mentioned I booked a double twin. In reality, I got a queen and a twin. But bigger than expected beds don't make up for the fact that they both have sub-par mattresses.The bathroom is nice to look at. A bidet (although I didn't really use those functions), a fancy bowl shaped sink with fancy faucet. Fewer towels than normal but nonetheless quite accessible and easy to obtain more by asking. That jacuzzi, though, is an abomination. It was clearly clogged. The hotel could really invest in some Drano or other unclogger. The bathroom was well stocked with skincare products like lotion, after shave, shaving cream, even things like hair spray and gel. A blowdryer is provided.The mini fridge is stocked with water and some soda. There's also instant coffee mix and bags of green tea at your disposal, with an electric water boiler. I haven't really tried the breakfast, even though it's included because the hours are limited and I really did not feel like going out of my way to get breakfast. Yeah, it's free, but I'm here to relax. And that includes sleeping in. The hotel does offer menus of surrounding restaurants and pizza joints that deliver but because of the recent name change of this hotel (Hotel Dodo used to be called Hotel Sherma), a lot of restaurants still stumble around finding this place. Nonetheless, no problems getting my food delivered.It was a tolerable experience and in fact, I am typing from the hotel using wifi located every few floors. But even as I sit here, I seriously doubt I'll book here again. It's a great bargain...but you get what you pay for.

Location-wise, Yeungdeong-po is not convenient for either leisure or business purpose. Seoul is very spead out so even though it looks close to some places it is actually a lot further than you may expect. For example it takes 30mins from the hotel to CIty Hall by taxi. The closest subway station is 10-15mins walk. I am told by my local friends that Yeungdeong-po is the 'home' for the homeless. And my local work partner (which is a travel agency) simply said 'Yeungdeong-po is not the place for hotels'.The hotel itself, as mentioned it's clearly a love hotel. You have to pass 2 doors before the reception, why so secretly? Parking is complimentary obviously for some reasons. Jacuzzi also for the same reason.. There's an on-site night club which you don't want to go, also another one across the road with mid-aged guys hanging out in evenings. The lighting of the hotel is redish, screaming love hotel. Not a place for business or single woman traveler.I was on a business trip and had no choice to book this hotel because all hotels were fully booked during that period. Maybe I have bias but the comments are definitely worth noting.Neverthless, if you're looking for good value, doesnt mind the location and all other hotels are booked up, this may not be that bad.
