Not up to standards as expected from Hyatt Hotels
I arrived pretty late at night and stayed for two nights in this hotel. Check-in was fast but check-out was much slower. The overall experience was ok for a quick business trip. It is slightly from other parts of the city, but if you are having business-related work around Sha Tin, then this is a good location. Room was big and good, with excellent views. Yet I thought it was slightly over-priced with no breakfast and no internet. Internet is super expensive and there is no free wi-fi in the public areas of the hotel, which is a big downturn. Many 5star and even 4star hotels offer free internet these days, and I think Hyatt needs to work on this too. The entrance to the building is slightly unusual if coming from the tube station. I had a relaxing stay in the hotel but didn't get a chance to use the swimming pool. I looked around the pool area and it seemed to be a nice place to stay for couple of hours or more. Overall, I would probably be trying other hotels in HK in my next visits. weekend rates are higher of course, so try to avoid weekends if you can.

The hotel is immaculate, tastefully decorated and never gave us the feeling that they had gone home for the holidays. Staff is attentive, polite and remarkably well informed. The front desk acts adequately as the concierge. Comfortable rooms and bathrooms. I highly recommend staying here and will stay again.

Not Hyatt Regency Standard
Hyatt Regancy brand is an excellent brand but having stayed in a club level suite at the Sha Tin Property I was very disspointed. Thet seemed to be trying to provide the required standard but were being cheap while doing it.Breakfast had a very limited spread of food and what hot meal was served was very very small (1 egg, 1 small strip of bacon etc). The range of cold products was also limited and much smaller than similar properties. It was the same thinking for eveneing drinks.Daytime nibbles were same, Usually cake slice or potato crisps......Service in the bar was dreadful with a part of the ordfer forgotton about and the empty plates and glasses not taken away. Although this was a slow night I even had to go from my table to the bar to order a drinkRoom was great, comfortable, clean, modern and well designedHousekeeping always forgot to replace soad or shampoo, there was always something missing (maybe this was cost saving as well)The hotel people were fantastic, everywhere. Always friendly always caring (accept for the waitress in the bar that is). The people that work in this property were the best I have seen as a group.All in all good value if I had paid for just a standard room and no club access

Care, Comfort and impeccable service
A lengthy business trip had our large party staying at the Hyatt Regency for a month and it proved to be a memorable experience. We were met by nothing but kindness and quiet, efficient service at every turn, and any problems were immediately sorted out without fuss or bother. My mountain-facing suite was huge and inordinately comfortable (so much so that it was often difficult to leave), decorated in a quiet minimalist way which was restful and soothing, and the bathroom was equipped with the most perfect shower - to the extent that I began to form an unnatural relationship with it. I miss that shower! Transport was no problem at all, with the University stop of the MTR a bare three minute stroll from the hotel (by the way, the University grounds are beautifully landscaped and worth strolling through, and there is also an excellent museum there). Some may criticize the location as too far from the action, but it is the perfect retreat from the freneticism of Tsim Sha Tsui, and if you need that kind of fix you can be there within twenty five minutes. All in all, the hotel provides exemplary service and comfort and the staff could not be bettered. I will gladly return.

What a nice welcome!
We stayed at this hotel after a tiring 8 day tour in Beijing. It was raining hard when we landed coupled with the heavy traffic from the airport to Sha tin, not quite the welcome we wanted, however the greeting we got from the hotel staff and to be advised that we had been upgraded to a suite with mountain view more than made up for it! The room was huge, clean and modern compared to others I have stayed in Hong Kong on previous trips! As facilities go, the bed was very comfortable, free wifi access, kitchenette, spacious bathroom, bathrobes, room safe ¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿the list goes on! Very impressed!Whilst the location of the hotel is not at the heart of Hong Kong, it wasn¿¿¿t an inconvenience for me as the MTR was less than 5 minutes walk away. Would definitely recommend.
