Stay yes but bad service at the Japanese restaurant ...
It's great that the hotel allows early check-in at 8am and it is conveniently located near to the exhibition center. Quite disappointed by the service by the Japanese restaurant which we had waited for an hour long but no food!!! We ended up at the coffee house instead . Another set back is that there is no convenient store in the hotel ... So be sure to bring all the stuff requires !!!

Good one...
Had a 2 night stay before heading back home. Hotel very near to office and 10mins away from airport. Friendly service from ladies at the check-in counter, concierge and those at the cafe. Comfortable and clean room. Nothing to complain about but the 2 bottles of complimentary water is a tad too small. Had a pleasant chat with a guy at the counter by the name of Lucas (if I remember correctly). Booked the free shuttle to airport a day before and the bus moved out on time early the next morning. Overall a great stay.

First impressions...
Having arrived at 3 am due to delays at shanghai, i was concerned my arranged transport via air Asia would not be waiting, but to my delight the driver was there as I left customs. Off we went for a 15 minute drive to crowne plaza. Greeting was very courteous and the assistants were great with my luggage. One issue.... Only smoking rooms left !!!!! Not happy as I requested non smoking.... But in order to make up for this the lovely receptionist upgraded me to a terrific suite i could have had a party of 50 in, and added free afternoon tea, happy hour every night, etc. although very nice, I was still not happy and i went to the room expecting a strong scent of cigarettes, yet none was to be found, so cudos to the staff. Not a great deal surrounding this motel, but I chose this in order to be near the fair I was attending which is only 800 metres away, so no points off there. A major gripe is language..... I understand and perhaps do not expect fluent conversations, yet when you go to a concierge. ( read.. Front line contact for visitors) they should be fluent in at least the basic tasks, and questions from international guests..... It was not from a lack of trying, .. They just did not understand my needs, same with all lounge, and bar staff. Looking forward to dining in the 3 restaurants during my stay, and will post my thoughts as to quality and value, and hopefully you will see some merit in my summations. In short thus far the question is "would I book here again" ??? The answer thus far is yes for what it's worth....it's Not for families with young children, as there is not enough to do in the motel and surrounding areas, but for travellers, singles, couples I think it serves us well... But I still have another 5 days to go here at crowne plaza, Beijing, international airport hotel..... Will add more as my stay progresses......hope this helps....

Great Stay On Club Level
My new wife and I spend a few nights here last week just after our wedding. We stayed on the club level and were very impressed with the service and amenities. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and spoke great English. Our sweet was perfect and the club level lounge was amazing - they had breakfast, afternoon tea, and a happy hour / dinner. Free drinks (water, soda, beer, wine, some liquors) all day long. It is a great location if you are trying to get to the airport and there are 2 subway stations very close as well.

A short stay
We had to find a room near the airport for the 10-hour layover at Beijing International. Used our Priority Club free room certificate for the year but still had to pay an extra 400+RMB for the 3rd person in the room plus service fees. Our plane from Kunming arrived later than expected 8:30pm and we had to collect all our bags from baggage claim because they couldn't check them through to LAX. What a pain! Fortunately, the shuttle from Crowne Plaza was already waiting and the driver was helpful in getting the bags onto the van. (We called to make arrangements when we passed through Beijing on our way to Kunming 10 days before.) It was at least a 10-minute ride to the hotel, not very close to the airport. At check-in we were told that the 3rd bed was already setup but later found out that it was not. Had to call and get the bed and extra towels etc. When everything settled it was past 11pm and we had to get up early for the 6am shuttle back to the airport. Room was fine with a big shower stall and plenty of amenities. We were upgraded, as told, but couldn't tell the difference. As platinum Priority Club members we received a fruit plate which we did not have time to enjoy, free inroom wi-fi, and other services not applicable to our short stay there. The young man at the check-in counter was most courteous and he was the one checking us out in the morning also. He also made arrangements for the wake-up call and the ride back to the airport. It would have been nice to have breakfast included but even with the extra room charge breakfast was not offered. Good thing we were able to use the Air China lounge after checking in at the airport. Will I stay here again? Probably not. I doubt that we will be just transiting here again. There are hotels closer to the airport than Crowne Plaza (Hilton and Landham) and at that hour, every minute counts.
