My group of four stayed at the Radisson again May 15 to May 19 2013. Another excellent experience led by Julia Fatykhova, the lead business concierge and the other managers Arne and Cameron. This international team brings the best of Western and Eastern hospitality. Rooms are still quite comfortable, with snappy service, an excellent business reception function on the top floor with full breakfast and excellent daily happy hour and finger food, all free to the exec traveler.And all for a very low cost for a bone fide four star hotel in the growing Putuo section of NW Shanghai.

A Good Hotel but away from the action
I stayed at the hotel last month and though it is a good hotel it is away from the action in what looks like an industrial/residential area.I checked in at around 11:30 on a rainy night and the Lobby was totally empty and that was the way it stayed but for the usual 'Bus Tourist" groups of elder people. The rooms though were good but the AC was too warm for my comfort and when I complained to the reception they gave a simple solution ie why dont you open a window :)There is nothing much around the hotel to do and in the evening there were hardly any people, very different from what I have experienced while staying in other Shanghai Hotels. There is however a Carrefour nearby and the food I had at the nearby Foodland was pretty good.Bottomline I would not stay here again until I get a very good deal.

excellent hotel!
we stayed for two nights at the raddisson hotel in shanghai on our tour of china. the hotels rooms were of a high standard with good amenities in them. breakfast and dinner were excellent with a good choice of dishes for all to choose from. staff were warm and friendly. well worthy of 5 star.

Nice Hotel and Good Location
I stayed at the Radisson Blu Hotel Shanghai Hong Quan for two nights in early April on the first leg of a two week trip to China. It was my first trip to that country and I had no idea what to expect. The decor was beautiful (a large intricately carved mammoth tusk was on display in the lobby as well as a large jade carving). The room was clean and had all the amenities of any 4+ star hotel in N. America. The restaurant offered a nice buffet breakfast of both Asian and Western food. Service was excellent and most service staff spoke some English. Complimentary Wi-Fi was reliable and there was free computer access on the main level in the lobby. The hotel was located next to several restaurants and a small mall similar to a Wal-Mart, which was great for stocking up on toiletries, snacks that I didn't bring with me in my luggage. Toothbrushes, soap, shampoo, shower caps and combs for two were all complimentary. I would recommend this hotel without hesitation.

3 Days in Shanghai!
Our 3 night stay at the Raddison Blu during my daughters HS class trip to China was great! The rooms were a bit on the small side, but were very comfortable and clean. The breakfast buffet was great, with fresh fruits western and chinese foods. There is a mall about a block away and the kids enjoyed the swimming pool and gym areas. I did find this hotel out of the way in relation to what our tour group was doing, but it is a gorgeous hotel never the less.
