Booked Deluxe Twin room (1 Double, 1 Single) via Hotelwide.com. Room advertised with sauna and jacuzzi included. Requested a quiet, non-smoking room on higher floors.Got a noisy and smelly smoking room on the 7th floor with 2 single beds and without sauna nor jacuzzi. Worst of all, the bathroom has no shower stall but has only an old style bathtub on 4 stands with no shower curtain.Contacted the front desk staffs who barely speak English but were told all rooms are the same.Will definitely not stay here next time in Seoul.

Was booked into the hotel's deluxe room by the organizer of my business meeting due to its close proximity with the venue. The reception area is quite small and unfortunately have quite limited English skills. The tourist's map brochures provided by the hotel are also only available in Korean or Japanese. The hotel's room space is a bit small but equipped with surround AV system, 32in Samsung LCD TV, internet ready desktop computer, small fridge, kettle, and sofa. The laminated floor is heated which is great in the freezing Korean winter temperature. One thing sorely lacking in this hotel is storage, as there is neither closet (first time I have been to a deluxe room without one), nor drawer (only fake drawer, just handles nailed into panel). Quite difficult for me as I prefer my clothes to be properly aired and tidy, especially for an important business meeting that I am attending. Worst is that the hotel does not provide any cloth iron at all. One additional trivial niggle is that the bathroom also does not has any shower curtain.Seoul is a great and beautiful city and I am planning to return here for holiday. One thing for sure, I won't be reserving this hotel.

Fortunately taxis are cheap in Seoul as this hotel is away from most of the attractions. It is a 10+ minute walk to the nearest metro station Jongno 5, and once on a train you usually need to change trains to go somewhere of importance.Our room was a standard twin (double and single bed) and it was small. No wardrobe and only two coathangers on a hook. No drawers.The bed was rock hard. After days of walking around Seoul, we wanted a good nights sleep but couldn't get it on our mattress.The lobby staff spoke little or poor English.We didn't try eating in the restaurant, which seemed to be open only infrequently.However, the room was quiet, the bathroom good and big. Clean towels each day. The bathroom also had a steam sauna. The room was cleaned each day, but the sheets were not changed daily. Free broadband internet in each room was a big plus.We needed to sleep with an open window as the centrally-controlled thermostat overheated the room. Family Mart right next door to the hotel was another plus. The TV in the room only had a couple of English speaking channels.

There is much to like at the Biwon. It is very conventiently located near the palaces, and Dongdaemun and Daehangno are close by. Rooms are average size, clean, and have a few nice extras like a stereo system and in room steam bath! There's also a convenient restaurant on the top floor. In this price range, this is quite a find. However, the Internet connection didn't work, and the management was quite unapologetic. I speak Korean pretty well and I asked specifically about the Internet connection. I was assured it was fine. Magically, the Internet went down, and stayed down, for four nights right after I checked in. Were it not for that, I might actually return.
