Unhelpful
The staff were unhelpful. Didn't advise guests about the breakfast room being four doors away in a hot cellar!! Not suitable for disabled travellers. Dreadful area. Rooms and shower was clean. Very convenient spot to travel from.A rat was spotted running along the balconies across the street.

Decent hotel for Paris standards
This is a pretty decent hotel located a stone's throw away from Gare du Nord in Paris. It also has a m¿¿tro station steps away (La Chapelle) but the area has a bad reputation and is not one of the cleanest in the French capital.The hotel itself has been renovated in the last few years to give it a modern twist. However, it is a small building so space has been optimised as much as possible. When I stayed at this hotel, I was given a room on the ground floor, which lead onto an indoor patio which had very little mobile reception or internet.The room, however, surprised me positively. It had a very comfortable double bed, a small table, a TV, a chair, a wardrobe and two bedside tables. The bathroom, again, had been renovated recently and it was done to a very good standard, with a bath (not a shower).Overall, taking into account Paris prices, I think this is a very good option, so I would give it a go again.

Disappointed
Very disappointed, would say it was a youth hostel, we found a 4* hotel for the same price, which was much nicer. Staff we're unhelpful, not in a pleasant area of Paris, no amenities eg bar etc, and not an area for French food. Strange that it has a good review score, was expecting a lot more.

Paris weekend
Very strange experience. When we arrived at about 1pm, our rooms weren't ready, so we were told they would be at 2pm. We had booked 3 rooms, 2 doubles and a twin. One room was ready after 2pm, but not the other two. We went out for the day and when we returned late in the evening we were told that there were no twin rooms available as two rooms were 'damaged'. The man at reception just said it wasn't his fault and that if we wanted to complain, we could the next day to the manager. Two ladies appeared to waiting in reception who did not have rooms! A man who was running the Paris marathon the next day was also told on arrival that he didn't have room. He was later allocated a room. The rooms were the smallest I have ever seen. A table attached to the wall was hanging off, the bathroom was tiny with a sliding door which felt like it was about to fall off. The wi fi didn't work, the bar wasn't a bar and the internal phones didn't work so we couldn't phone other members of our party. The safe in the room also didn't work. One member of our party used his shower and the room got flooded as the drain was blocked! The hotel has 2 seperate parts so some of our party were in one building and some in the other building a few yards along the street! all very quirky, but it was a budget hotel. On a positive note it was a few minutes from Gare du Nord station, a few minutes walk to the Metro at La Chapell which took you into central Paris in about 20 minutes and the bed was comfortable! Bon Voyage!

3*? More like 1*!
I have just arrived at this hotel for a 4 day break...my friend and I spent a very long time looking for a nice hotel where we could spend our Easter break. We chose this hotel because it was close to the station, especially as the bus shuttle to disney land will be going from near by. The pictures the website have provided are MISLEADING! We are in the tiniest, hottest room with a view of other people's houses. The area is horrible, there are no decent shops/supermarkets around. Since our baggage has been lost, we can not find anything we need for this holiday. No clothes, toothpaste, medication. I will not be venturing out at night as I do not feel safe! People leer at you as you walk past. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone! The staff are rude and unhelpful, do not speak very good English. We told the receptionist that our baggage has been lost by Heathrow airport and could she let us know if they get in contact with her. Very rude response. If you are looking for the romantic idealist view of Paris...do not stay in this hotel as you will be met with the true Paris...otherwise known as Little India.
