Near the airport, good shuttle
Very close to the airport, and next to the subway (witch the driver can take you). The room was ok, but the service at the restaurant was awful. The employees where more interested in playing around than serving me. The LAN internet was better than the wifi, they even provide a cable, The food was cold and beside the croissant and jam there where no western food.

NO PICK UP!
We waited for close to two hours for the shuttle bus to come and pick us up at the terminal. No show! We stayed here as a transfer passenger on a previous trip through Shanghai without a hitch. This time, nobody came to pick us up. We waited in the exactly the same spot. We made sure not to leave or even take our eyes off the area where they came before.So we ended up wasting our money and time for nothing. I will never book this hotel ever again and recommend everyone to avoid this hotel at all costs.

Perfect transit hotel
The hotel itself is about average. Rooms are somewhat basic but contain everything you need. Level of cleanliness is pretty good (except, perhaps, for carpeting) - standing out positively from the other hotels in China I visited.There is buffet breakfast, which is adequate. Reception staff speaks passable English.The main attraction of this hotel is a free shuttle to and from the airport that runs every half hour (from 5:30 am to airport, and from 9am from airport, if I am not mistaken). It takes only 10 minutes to get to the airport by shuttle (which is a good option even if you want some food, as airport offers plenty of better options, where hotel restaurant looks forlorn and not very appealing). Shuttle picks up passengers at exit door 12 on arrivals level from Terminal 1. Price was qute moderate (about $65 a night). For a transit in Shanghai to spend the night I can't think of a better option.

not a bad solution for a transit hotel
We stayed here twice- mostly because it was cheap and close to the airport. the shuttle was not easy to find - just so you know its from exit 12 in the arrivals hall, right out on the street and leaves every 30 minutes, so if you dont see it, just wait for it, its clearly marked once you actually see it.The staff were ok, the rooms average at best. they had a decent selection in movies that were free and the room service was cheap and worth it- much more so than the restaurants inside the hotel.beware that the subways from downtown to the airport does not get there after 10pm, so be back in time....

Acceptable stay near airport
I have stayed at this hotel at least 3 or 4 times in the last 3 years. I most recently stayed here for one night with my wife prior to traveling on in mainland China. There are good & not so great things about this hotel. The rooms are nice in my opinion. They have most everything you will need for a night over at this location. This is not a place to stay if you are having an extended stay in Shanghai unless you simply want to be near the airport. The rooms are clean and everything works correctly from my experience. The airport is very close and they provide a free shuttle every thirty minutes that seems to always run on time. The staff is not extremely friendly or speak very much english but I have not had any problems. There is a convention center close by so it seems to cater to these people often. There is a small store just a short walk from the hotel I frequent when there for snacks and drinks. I have only eaten at one of the restaurants once for dinner and it was cold and overpriced. I also feel the cost of the rooms is high as the price has increased over the few times I have been there. The cost for a room with a double bed as opposed to two singles over doubles in price. I think some people staying at this location have been disappointed because they did not get the level of service expected by us foreign guests. If the hotel wished to get better reviews they would work on this aspect of their business of catering to foreign guests. Regardless of this fact, besides the high cost, I have not been really unhappy with my stays at this hotel.
