VALUE FOR MONEY THAT'S FOR SURE!
The only reason I'm not giving this hotel 5 stars is because I've stayed at 5 star hotels before and they've been grand! The atmosphere of the Seasons is far from Grand; in fact, it's a bit outdated - the furniture, kitchen, bathroom aren't very new. But that doesn't take from the fact that it's still a pretty decent place considering its relatively low normal price tag. For $99 you get a suite that's probably three times bigger than the normal hotel room. I must say I was extremely impressed with the price per square metre of room that you get. The apartment is very big and well structured too.My only critique is that the bathroom is a bit outdated. Also, the monorail is located right outside but it NEVER bothered us at all - you could barely hear it!

Good Value on the Border of Darling Harbour and Chinatown
I must say that, despite Trip Advisor ratings that range from 1-5, we went ahead and booked for a couple of days. We were welcomed by a very helpful clerk, of Indian heritage, who was quite happy to change our room assignment to one with a better view once he established that we didn't require a "superquiet" room overlooking the buildings at the rear of the hotel. The apartment, one bedroom plus lounge/dining/kitchenette, was in good order (except for requiring some re-staining of woodwork!!) and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was adequate but could do with some renovation. The night clerk, a fine young Englishman, was very helpful with information regarding local breakfast/coffee establishments. All-in-all we had a good experience and would recommend a stay.

Good price for the location - could do with some work
We booked into the Seasons based on price, location and onsite parking, before we read the Trip Advisor reviews. After having read the reviews we approached our stay with a bit of trepidation !The hotel is conveniently located at the bottom end of Darling Harbour, but is still an easy walk to the Lyric Theatre at Star Casino, Chinatown and most of Sydney CBD. Onsite parking is a rare find in the CDB - no parking in Sydney is cheap - so $40 for 24 hours (even after you check out) is a great find. Where else can you find an apartment with kitchen for $140 a night !!The problem with this hotel seems to be that the owners have renovated on the cheap and have not chosen their decorating materials and colours well. The first thing you see when you walk along the corridors are dirty brown looking doors to the rooms. A bad combination of colour, textured paint and poor surface preparation ( which means the paint scratches off easily) leads to the appearance of the place being a bit of a dump (pic).Entering the room, an electrical fitting falling off the wall helped cement that this is not an upmarket premises. Moving over to open the door onto the balcony (where else do you get a balcony for $140 ?), we found that the lock was broken (pic) and the bit it locks into on the frame was missing. Attempts had been made to bolt the lock back on and an ineffectual solution added to the door frame, meaning that the balcony door could not be locked - but nine stories up we werent too worried. Obviously the management were aware of the problem, evidenced by the attempts to fix it.The bathroom really showed the DYI effort that gone into redecorating. There were what appeared to be good quality tiles, but someone must have decided that the plain white wall tiles in the shower needed an extra bit of class - so spray painted a motif in dark red (pic). Unfortunately the stencil was not held hard enough againt the tiles so the edges are a bit furry in places. Being ceramic tiles, the paint doesn't stick well, so it is scratching off, adding to the poor quality impression. The few fittings that had been taken off during the painting, had not been put back properly, meaning clothing hooks were hanging upside down and door handles were not secured properly. The wooden vanity, was either not sanded back properly or was painted with cheap varnish, as the varnish is now peeling off. Plaster patching on the ceiling was a very amateur job.Around the rest of the room, you can see where the edges were cut in with a brush, but whoever was using the roller didn't get closer than about 2cm from the edges, leaving a totally different paint texture around edges. However, our airconditioning worked fine and the bed was one of the most comfortable I have slept in in a Hotel for a while. Check-in and out staff were very friendly and helpful. We didn't attempt to get to the pool.Overall, the price, parking, kitchen and location were the winners - it's just a shame that the place looks like a second rate hotel - first impressions can have a significant impact on how people enjoy their stay. A few more dollars spent on the renovations would have seen this hotel rating much better.Would I stay again - at that price probably yes.

Not great
This hotel is clean, the rooms are fine, and the staff are friendly enough. However, none of this matters if I can't get a good night's sleep. The first reason for this is the air con. Although I had it set on the coldest setting and the fan turned up, the room would not cool down and it was too hot for me to sleep.Secondly, I know it says double bed when I booked, but I expect a 4.5 star property that costs this much to have a king bed, but this place has standard doubles. As we are used to sleeping in a king bed at home I generally pay a bit more for hotels because we have trouble sleeping in anything smaller. So, in short, if they fix the air con and get bigger beds I would return, but until then there are much better hotels in this very high price range.

Great location, clean equipped rooms
We checked in around 6pm to this hotel and it appeared the night staff were not too clued up on how things work. Not the friendliest of arrivals. The room was great and had everything we needed, ensuite main bedroom, nice modern lounge kitchenette area with two hot plates and enough utensils to make a quick meal if need be. The pull out sofa I feel probably doesn't get used much as after pulling out the mattress and sitting on it you could actually feel Every spring. I did get a little irate at the poor guy who came up to inspect the mattress and told me it wasn't too bad i actually made him lay on it to make my point, he straight away went off and got a portable single bed which was much better. Excellent location right next to China Town and Darling Harbour. We walked down to Circular Quay in about 30 minutes not too bad. Make sure you use the free bus from Circular Quay all the way up George Street No. 555 to bring you back if its too far to walk. The pool and gym were a bit of a mission to get to, it's in the residential building next door so you have to go to reception get the key fob, go up to level 9 go across the hall then up again to get to the pool, the key has to be returned to reception straight away too which is a pain when all you want is a shower. The pool itself was lovely, heated to a warm bath temperature which was great because it was a chilly day. The staff on checkout were really friendly and helpful. All in all a great stay and we would probably stay here again.
