We stayed here for one night because we had booked a show in Perth. The room itself was generally very clean and tidy, except for the numerous power cables hanging down from the TV and the exhaust fan in the the bathroom which was absolutely filthy. There was no view just a brick wall and the layout of the room was awkward as the bathroom was in the middle of the room separating the bed from the sofa and desk area, making the room seem very small. Reception was efficient and the bar and restaurant area were nice. The service in these areas was really good, but let down by the food, particularly dinner which was overcooked and very slow. To be fair the chef was on her own dealing with room service and the restaurant which was busy and she did apologize to us and was herself very upset. Shame on management for putting her in this position. Breakfast was okay but nothing special. There is a lot right about this hotel just lacking attention to detail. Parking was in the street, although the hotel does have some I didn't know I had to book a spot.

This Hotel was recently refurbished and re-branded (used to be Marque).Rooms are quite satisfactory, but the service leaves something to be desired. On a recent stay (April 2013), the bed was not made up when the room was serviced. Since this is not a cheap Hotel to stay in, and carrying the Rendezvous brand, I expected better.

Ok, we booked this through wotif's mystery deals. Generally a bad idea because it usually seems to get you a rundown room in a joint that's busy up-swanking itself. The makeover should do it some good though depends whether it goes more than skin deep. Our 'apartment' was two small rooms somewhat clumsily stuck on either side of a fairly run-down old bathroom. You enter into the living area, and further on through was the bedroom, just next door to Perth's eastern freeway (read on, keeping in mind that all this was despite having asked for a 'quiet room please')....The view could have been better and maybe will be if they bulk up the planting outside the window, however the road noise was not too bad with good double glazing in the windows. On the other hand, the noise of piping not far from my pillow forced me to put my earplugs in for the night (a painful experience I generally try to avoid unless the noise is really unbearable, which it was) - a whoosh of water down the pipes every time anyone upstairs flushed the toilet, which was pretty damned often. Didn't help that the bed was the usual hotel hardness and the pillows seemed to melt away during the night.Service seemed good enough till they forgot to order our taxi in the morning, almost causing us to miss a flight.On the plus side, the place is tucked away in a nice little corner of Perth (if you get a room not on the freeway), with good restaurants and the CBD in easy walking distance, and just up a beautiful Kings Park and views over the city up a refreshing little hill climb to the west.

We have stayed at this hotel a number of times and all the rooms are clean and quiet, given the closeness to the freeway, however, there are a number of other problems. We were prepared to pay for parking and although we checked in early there was no parking available. There is street 1 hour ticket parking. We had organised to catch a cab to the crown for jersey boys matinee show so we could have dinner and drinks later, however we were forced to take our car as we couldnt feed the parking machine every hour while we were at a show some 7 klms away? When we returned late that night there was still no parking at the front so we had to park 2 blocks away and walk. The bathroom door was off its rollers which is a common feature every time we have stayed.Also the reception staff on 2 occassions have been unable to find our internet booking. We even received a cancellation email this time after we had checked in! Sorry to say this is the last visit from us.

Let start in the car park. It is awkward, tiny and if you have a car larger than a mini forget it. Reception and check in was fine, no problems. My room was a good size and first impressions were ok. Nothing special but ok. On closer inspection it is really tired, knocked around and not very clean. The combined bathroom, dressing area had very old fixtures and tiles and the exhaust fan was filthy.The ceiling panels were water stained and ill fitting. In the bedroom there was a odd mark on the wall above the bed. The TV didn't work for the first two days and the safe was locked but I couldn't be bothered calling about that again. Breakfast was certainly not worth it. I was down there before 8 and there was nothing left. For the price I would try and find somewhere else to stay.
