My amazing Hen Doo!
11 of us arrived to the wonderful westerwood at lunch time on Saturday 1st June for my hen party overnight spa lunch 3 course meal cocktails and private function room for evening. Only1 room was free so we out all our bags in one so was no problem. Our lunch was a bento box which was delicious we then spent the rest of the day in spa and received our hour of treatments which were fabulous. The only evening meal canap¿¿s and cocktails were all amazing. We cannot fault the hotel I had an extra 6 for dinner making the group 18 and even at dinner everything went smoothly and there was no long waits. Cocktails were yummy helped by my naked Butler! ! Rooms were clean modern and comfy. Breakfast was delicious and had lots of lovely choices. Couldn't thank the westerwood enough my spa night was brilliant and they made it even more special. Can't wait to return xxx

Fantastic Stay and superb value for money!
We have stayed at the Westerwood several times in the last few years so it was top of the list when planning our most recent trip. We booked 2 rooms for 2 nights thru' Expedia and paid ¿¿189 all in for bed and breakfast. This was fantastic value for money. We were given rooms on the 3rd floor overlooking the golf course as requested (333 and 335) both rooms had been refurbished and were very clean with spacious bathrooms with both bath and shower cubicle.Check-in was painless, pleasant and efficient. We were pleased to note that the hotel is now employing locals for waitressing staff in the dining room at breakfast time rather than Eastern Europeans which is how it should be. Breakfast was fantastic as usual....buffet style, help yourself to what you want and boy is there a lot of choice. There was a wedding at the hotel on Saturday and it was nice to see all the young men in their kilts, the hotel was busy as a result and the car park was packed out meaning we had to park in the rear car park (2 inconsiderate BMW drivers could have helped the situation by parking considerately)! Beds were comfy, no problem sleeping the first night but thanks to the inconsiderate occupants of the next room along (337) I got virtually no sleep last night as they were still talking and laughing loudly gone 3.30am! Might be worth noting that the walls aren't particularly thick between rooms so think about how your volume can impact on others!Other than that, we couldn't find fault with the hotel. ALL staff were friendly and courteous....I think I can speak for all of us when I say this was our best stay and we look forward to returning. We didn't eat evening meals in the hotel.....we went to the Red Deer on Friday night and had hoped to eat a carvery meal at the Broadwood Farm last night however at 7.50pm we were told they had run out of meat!!!!!!!! So we ended up back at the Red Deer.

Fantastic Meeting Venue
The staff here are first class. I would recommend this venue for business meetings, they really know how to look after you. Brian the Conference Manager is very friendly and cannot do enough to help. The food is excellent, and the day delegate whilst slightly more expensive, it is worth the extra. I have used the Westerwood many times, for my business meetings and also to stay. The facilities are excellent - I have just not got round to writing a review! Well worth a visit and only a short drive into Glasgow, with Edinburgh being approx 45 minutes away. These guys certainly know how to cater and care about giving excellent customer service, this is a delight to see when there are so many really poor hotels/restaurants out there.

A lovely experience, very impressed
My husband booked this hotel for 3 nights. We were in a party of 12 and 6 rooms were booked. Also there was at least two wedding parties on the go and the Hibernian Football Team booked in so we thought that this would mean a bit of neglect. But know it was excellent service through out. We booked in on the Friday and we left on the Monday and our whole party was impressed with the staff, hotel and location. You can 'pay as you go' for drinks or you can open a tab and have them charged to your room. Restaurant meals are charged to your room and its settled when you leave.I cant review the golf course or their spa as we didn't have time as we had relatives to visit. I can say that the golf course has a fantastic view and it looks very well cared for.Swimming PoolI saw previous reviews that were not impressed with the pool, all I can say is that the two pools were very clean. There is a main adult pool where towels are provided. You have to pay ¿¿1 for lockers but these are not needed as loungers and chairs are provided. There is a very small, very warm pool incorporated in the main pool for relaxing. There is a toddlers pool again very clean, also a Jacuzzi which self cleaned I think about once or twice an hour, this meant you had to get out while it cleaned itself but it was only for about 15minutes. The stains in a previous review were there but this cannot be helped they were by the windows and nowhere near the pools that I could see. There was also some sauna's near the pool which was not used by our party so I cannot comment. Bar and GrillThe restaurant had a nice selection of starters, main meals and desserts, though I did find them expensive but this was a hotel restaurant. All our party were impressed with their mealsBreakfastThis was included in the stay and again we were very impressed with the selection provided. Full English Breakfast included haggis if you fancied it. All food was on a buffet basis. Cereals, toast, continental breakfasts were available i.e. croissants, meats and cheeses. Coffee, tea, fresh orange juice and other juices available. RoomsRooms were very clean and bed very comfortable, more than enough space for clothes, two mirrors one full length. Tea and coffee provided. There is a room safe (free). Also provided is an ironing board and iron. Not all the rooms had a fridge so if you need one, its best to ask at the time of booking. There is a nice large bath and a shower which were all clean. When inside the room you could not here others in the corridor, so no disturbed sleep from late night revellers. The lounge and barAgain the drinks were expensive and that's because again you are paying hotel prices. But the atmosphere is relaxing, the young barmen were very friendly and polite and brought drinks to you at your table in the lounge if requested. There are many chairs and sofa's in lounge so there is always somewhere to relax. A couple of armchairs were looking a bit sorry for themselves with threadbare areas where hands rub, but this is really unimportant and in no way a complaint. The staffWell I just wish we could get the attitude of these people down to England. They were so polite and attentive. Yes you could say ' and so they should, its their job' but they seemed to enjoy being there working, at breakfast they sat you down and asked if you wanted tea or coffee and it was brought to you immediately with a smile and asked if there was anything else they could help you with. On your way out they said goodbye. This was not only at breakfast but also at reception where you were greeted in the morning and wished goodnight at night. I was very very impressed with the staff.ParkingPlenty of room.

Luxurious is the word for here!
I have stayed at this hotel 3 times now so felt it was time to write a review! The rooms are of a very good size, especially for the price! The spa is a must-do for a relaxing night, even if you are just stopping over in between a long journey! The food is also lovely! And Cumbernauld is not a holiday place you would stay for a long time, but for a stopover, there are many lovely restaurants in the area, and the hotel itself has enough amenities to spend the night in. Cumbernauld is also in a good position between many different cities if you are staying for a bit longer, such as Glasgow, Edinburgh and Stirling. If, like me, you are staying in Cumbernauld to visit family/friends, then this is the best hotel in the area!
