Average. Location not ideal to see the peaks of Bora Bora.
Average. Location not ideal to see the peaks of Bora Bora. Food selection for dinner is minimal, quality marginal and the service was slow. Staff were friendly, but indifferent at dinner. Wish there were more night activities or even more day activities. Everything was expensive so more attention to details to make a stay memorable and more attention to quality is recommended.

Horrendus is an understatement
I feel required to write a review on Hilton Bora Bora after my honeymoon stay there. It was my impression that this was a 5 star resort. Boy was I wrong! It was nowhere near a 5 star. Giving two stars is being generous.The entire resort, rooms included, is so run down and outdated I could not believe it was actually a Hilton. There were missing floor tiles along the walkway toward the reception area. The pool area was covered with ants. The bungalows were extremely old looking and run down. We are actually more than annoyed at the money we wasted (it is not cheap to stay here) staying in this resort. The rooms have minimal lighting, so at night we had to make do with three or four lamps which left us feeling like we were in a dungeon. We are very disheartened because this was our honeymoon; it¿¿¿s an experience we will never get back, and unfortunately it was ruined by staying at this resort. Dining was an ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE! There are two restaurants in this resort. The third restaurant is an American Grill, with barely anything on the menu and surrounded my mosquitoes. MY husband and I went through two mosquito repellant sprays throughout our stay. The other two restaurants required early reservations and upon our arrival every time, we had to wait at least 15-30 minutes for our ¿¿¿reserved¿¿¿ table. For a 5 star resort, the food was terrible. Service was HORRIFIC! We asked for ice at least 6 times each night before a bucket of ice was brought to our table. In fact, my husband and I had an ongoing ¿¿¿game¿¿¿ to guess how many times we would have to ask for ice. Do not expect to be served drinks at the pool or beach. You have to get up every time and get them yourself. I had my bachelorette party in MEXICO and we had a personal waiter on the beach and at the pool that constantly provided drinks and tapas. If I had the chance to re-do my honeymoon, I would definitely visit another resort. I will never recommend this resort to anyone I know.

1st time in Tahiti
We spent 3 days on Moorea and 3 days on Bora Bora, both at Hilton properties and they were great. Both beautiful and the staff very nice. As in Moorea everything is on the resorts nothing off the resort is developed or commercialized which is good and bad. Getting off the resort will require some cost and there isn't much there when you do. Good to pick up some groceries, drinks off site and worth the cost.We had a over water bungalow in Bora Bora which if your going to Tahiti you have to do at some point. We stayed in a garden bungalow in Moorea which was nice but over the water is awesome.There had to be at least 100 fish right under are bungalow everyday, awesome snorkeling everywhere no need to go off site.Food and everything is very expensive so get a food plan it is definitely worth it. we had breakfast and dinner and it worked out well. Without a doubt one of the most beautiful places on earth.

It's a Hilton alright
We stayed in an overwater bungalow for 6 nights. The hotel is located on its own private island with beautiful little coral aquariums all over. The compound is huge and very well maintained. Our bungalow was spacious with a sitting room and huge bathroom. The housekeeping came twice a day, everyday! You can get free rental for yakat, and snorkel gears. Breakfast was more American style with lots of pastries. Lunch in the beach restaurant was good but dinner in both in-house restaurants was just okay.
