Good facilities, great location
The Oaks Apartments are well located, being oposite the convention centre and nearby the Adelaide CBD. There are many nearby bars and restaurants, but nevertheless there is little street noise in the rooms.. Being an apartment hotel the roms are very large and well equipped.

Better places in Adelaide
I stayed here for the first time last week and I was disappointed. I found the location, whilst close walking distance to Casino and Rundle Mall, a bit out of the way and dining options was limited. (Hindley St is not my idea of a great dining). Rooms were comfortable however bathroom in my 2 bedroom apartment was small. The cafe attached to the hotel served a very limited and average breakfast. And the reception staff we not overly welcoming. The price though was good.

Convenient and Comfortable
We stayed in a single bedroom apartment on the 15th floor during our recent visit to Adelaide to take in the Turner Exhibition at the Art Gallery of South Australia. The view from the balcony, overlooking North Terrace, the convention centre, the Adelaide Oval and the hills into the distance was spectacular. The room was very comfortable and we got a very good few nights sleep. Very handy to the city and all major attractions. We chose the apartment style of accommodation so that we could fix some of our own meals without having to eat out all the time. The Oaks is great for that. Clean, comfortable and clinical. A very good, practical accommodation option. And the staff were (in the main) friendly too.

Noisy
Just stayed here last night with my husband and sister in law. The two bedroom apartment was lovely with great views from the 13th floor BUT sleep was not possible with the constant thump thump thump, yelling, screaming and traffic noise from nightlife strip in Hindley Street at the back of the hotel. My husband went down to reception to make a complaint before 6am the cleaner knocked on the office window and someone came out to speak to him but was told the manager would be in at 6am. He went back and was told if he had complained sooner we could have been moved but who wants to change rooms during the night. If there were available rooms why do they put guests in rooms they know are going to be affected by the constant noise. When We checked out the manager apologised and advised he had wiped the charge for parking. After a 3 hour flight home the first thing we did was go for a decent sleep. Another Adelaide hotel to wipe off our list due to noise.

Stay in apartment for business
I stayed here twice for two weeks stays for business.Its a one bedroom apartment with laundry facilities which is fantastic when you are away somewhere for work. The apartment is very clean although when you stay for two weeks I do think they could do a little more cleaning than they do. Like perhaps run over the bathroom sink in that time. However the furnishings etc all are modern and clean. i also like the fact they leave you complimentary laundry powder. The dishwasher seems to only work on a low temperature so I found the dishes quite often did not come out sparkling but still with a little greasy film on them.My room has always been quiet but I noticed in the summer they do get very hot! So needed the aircon on more than I usually would. The staff are very helpful and have always got the bookings correct and answered any questions that need to be answered. The location is great. Whilst not in the most trendy part of town it is in walking distance to the main cultural precinct for art gallery, musueums, botanical gardens. The mall is not far away and I would walk up to the trendier part of Rundle Street for good food and cinema after work. I also found a FANTASTIC restuarant right behind called Apothecary 1878. It might be in a seedier part of town but dont be fooled. This restuarant oozes charm and once inside you could think you are in Paris. The food and wine list is sublime.If i go back to Adelaide for business I will stay here.
