Enjoyed my stay
Enjoyed my stay at the Pavilions the staff were very friendly and helpful,The room which overlooked the pool was quiet very clean and comfortable.We had dinner and breakfast in the hotel and both were excellent and good value for money. The only disappointment was the size of the pool very deceptive in the picture advertising the hotel ok for children but not for a keen swimmer. The location was perfect all the sights in Christchurch were within walking distance. Nice to stay in a family run hotel. Would definitelystay again

Fantastic staff make the stay very pleasant
We stayed in a 2 bedroom family room which was very spacious and well equipped. The kitchen had all the basics needed to make a quick breakfast or lunch. The bedrooms had plenty of space as did the lounge dining area. Huge dining table to spread all our tourist brochures over. All were very clean and neat. While this hotel seems to have many business travellers, as a family we felt looked after and accepted by the staff. The staff over all were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant staff managed to find us a table on a very busy night then made an extra effort to look after 2 tired little boys (very much appreciated!). The meals at the restaurant were fantastic - great choice, beautifully cooked and served in a reasonable time. Beverage choice is generous too. This was a lovely place to stay. Close to the city centre and Hagely Park. Buses run by hotel on a regular basis. Easy to get to from the airport.

Brydons
We recently stayed at Pavilions Hotel in Ch Ch on our holiday and were most impressed with the place, especially the cleanliness of the rooms. We have motels ourselves and are quite particular with cleanliness and we found the rooms top rate. The staff were all professional and efficient with a friendly manner. The only small comment that we can say is that the restaurant staff were quite noisy and we had to talk very loudly to each other as they clashed and banged dishes. But other than that I would highly recommend this hotel to any one as the meals were delicious. We will definitely be back. Chris Brydon :)

Friendly staff, great hotel.
Stayed here first in 2010 when I was travelling with a friend, so it was an easy decision to make on my return to Christchurch this year (this time solo). Very friendly staff on check in. My room was situated in the main hotel building (above reception) and had to go up a flight of stairs. Staff insisted they have someone carry my suitcase up for me, which was the only place to even offer throughout my entire stay in NZ. The porter who carried my bags was very friendly (didn't catch his name but he was an older gentleman), he was also the same man who brought my room service to me the following night and was equally as friendly. Room itself was a decent size with tea and coffee making facilities, furnishings were clean and comfortable. Only a few small criticisms- shower head was not fully adjustable and there were a few cracks around the tap in the sink (thats just being picky though- didn't really bother me but might others). Bed was erring on the side of too firm, perhaps time for an update with the mattresses. No aircon in the rooms, which I didn't need but may be a problem if staying in summer (however I've noticed a lot of accommodation in NZ doesn't have aircon so this seems to be a country wide thing). Ample free parking onsite, in room wifi available for a fee or otherwise computer access in the lobby. Lovely food from the room service menu.Overall I think this place is great! Would definitely recommend and stay again if I return to this lovely city.

An excellent choice during any season
A very pleasant experience throughout. the rooms are slightly dated but very spacious and clean. Rooms are cleaned daily without fail and the hotel staff were fantastic especially with all our demanding requests. i would definitely stay here again. the bath tub was lovely and spacious. i was very pleased with my stay. thank you to the pavillions team.
