I have been staying here since the old Marriott days. It got a badly needed makeover a year or two ago which lifted it out of third world standard but only just. GOOD- location, if you want quiet. Westfield and train station an easy walk, a little further to the good Church St restaurants. Easy to get to by Cadillac if you know how, awkward if you don't. Staff are not highly trained but they try. Can park the Caddy close to reception, not overly secure but I've never had a problem.NOT GOOD- breakfast. You' won't find worse anywhere, and I've been everywhere. Poor quality fruit, cheap bacon, sloppy scrbled egg, half- cooked fried, I could go on. The army was better. Get breakfast elsewhere.The place is overrun with busloads of Chinese tourists who choke the lifts, refuse to make eye contact and generally act as if they own the place, which they may well do.It's saving grace is it's overpriced competitors in Parramatta. If you can match the price the others are better.Thank you, thank you very much.

Nice central location, clean and functional spacious rooms, lovely buffet breakfast, helpful staff, nice looking foyer, good parking, etc and all round good value. We will return. Thanks. It is at the china town & car dealership end of parramatta with PJ Gallaghers pub right across the road if you want a meal and drink handy.

We really enjoyed the experience of staying at your hotel. The staff were very friendly special mention of Nigel who always greeted us with a smile and a friendly greeting..The room was spacious and clean, the bed was awesome with great pillows for a great nights sleep.Breakfast menu was very good plenty to choose from and nicely presented,Great value for money and a good place to stay.

We had 5 rooms for 1 and 2 weeks stay last month and everyone one of us had a pleasant stay. No request was a big deal... It was great value for money. I had my family staying here for my cousins wedding from Melbourne, Dubai and Canada. Most of them are used to the 5-7 service and I wasn't sure if they would like to stay at the Holiday Inn. The outstanding service of the restaurant, housekeeping and reception team made us feel like we are at our own place. We had few dinners and afternoon catch ups in the restaurant and lobby and the staff were always friendly and helpful. Just one receptionist (pretty sure she had long hair) forgot to order our taxi and we had to wait 35min for one!

I travel about 90% of the time (all around the world) for my job. Needless to say, I am more than qualified to write a noteworthy and accurate review of any hotel. I stayed at the Holiday Inn Parramatta for a full month In January to February 2013. This is, hands down, the greatest hotel I have ever had the pleasure of "living" in. Far too many hotels will only greet you with a smile once they realize that you have some sort of status there with their chain, but not this one. I was fresh off of a 16 hour flight (and let's be honest, a little crabby) and once I was greeted by the STUNNING Lucia at the front desk, I was instantly impressed. She asked if i needed any help with my bags and offered to give suggestions about restaurants and attractions. The decor of the lobby is so welcoming and very high-end! It was one of those lobbies that you want to grab a drink and hang around in. Even the smell was amazing! I get to my room and it was beautiful! I had a gorgeous suite with brand new carpet and furniture. The bed was very comfortable and very clean-I did not find one spec of dust or dirt anywhere!!...and I do check. The attention to detail by the housekeeping staff was amazing! When I check into hotels and notice that there is water in the iron from a previous guest, I cannot help but think, "ew, how long has this been sitting here?...is it molding?...Will it ruin my clothes?"....sounds crazy, but, this is the first hotel I have ever stayed in that had the iron emptied. Another nice touch was when I left a note for housekeeping requesting new towels and a small tip, housekeeping responded with a "thank you" note on the notepad. I have never expected such a thing any other time I have tipped housekeeping but it was just so nice to know that it was received and appreciated!The breakfast was delicious and had such a lovely presentation with a lot of options. I never had dinner at the hotel so I cannot speak for the dinner staff (even thought i am sure they are wonderful), but the breakfast staff made every morning so great! I rarely even eat breakfast but I really looked forward to chatting with Nigel and Johnny in the morning--so i was there every day!!! Johnny took about a half hour one morning to help me get the internet working because he knew it was essential to complete my work. Staff at any other hotel would have given up after 5 minutes.I had many chats with Natasha at reception and she is an absolutely amazing person as well! When I had the flu while I was there, she called to check on me and asked if I needed anything!!When I checked out for a weekend to go to Sydney, the staff bent over backwards making MULTIPLE phone calls to ensure that I was happy and comfortable at another Holiday Inn location downtown! Then I returned last week to this hotel. I chose to conduct some business in the area JUST so I could return to this hotel and see everybody! I was greeted by Lucia and Samantha in such a warm way that I forget for a few seconds that I was staying in a hotel alone for a few days and felt like i was at home with friends or family!! After my first driving experience in Australia, I was quite shaky by the time I made it to the hotel. I parked out front and after checking in I said to Lucia, "this is embarassing, but I am so shook up from driving 2 hours that I am terrified to park that car!!". WIth a smile she said, "I can park it for you!"...this woman parked my car for me because I was too big of a baby to do it!!!....then she offered to help me with my bags when we got to the parking lot! I get to my room this visit and I have a bottle of Australian wine and a card welcoming me back to the hotel. This card was not a template that was just printed off and signed for every other guest. The fact that Yesh (the General Manager) took the time to write up this amazing note made me feel so welcome and like a VIP! The room was as clean as it was my last visit!Yesh then called my room and welco
