Ideal for LAX. Great reliable shuttle service and staff very helpful and friendly.We were given a room on the 15th floor which gave access to private lounge that served evening canap¿¿s and an early breakfast buffet. The hostess was very efficient and friendly with a warm welcome.

My family stayed here for a weekend gaming convention and, once again, the hotel was not good, not bad, just mediocre. The room was clean and freshly stocked but the carpeting was a bit dingy. The bathroom was spacious and spotless. The reception on the TV was atrocious and we had the technician in our room for over an hour trying to make it work. We finally got so tired of the delay that we told him we would make do without. The AC didn't seem to be able to keep up even on a mild day, thus I would hate to try pushing it in Summer.The lounge was nice but the food (as expected) was wickedly overpriced. [PRO TIP: there is a Subway about 100 yards West on Century]. The valet lost our car (that's a fun thing to hear!) but about a hour later they mystically found it in one piece. I had asked them to park it close, apparently they parked in in Nevada. The good news is that they comped my parking (rightfully so), the bad thing is THEY LOST MY CAR! :- /On the patented 1-10 scale, with 10 being "OMG, stay in this Nirvana until eternity ends" and 1 being "I will submit to waterboarding to be released from this hell-hole", I give the Sheridan Gateway and solid 5.

My sister and I were on our way home from a 2-week vacation in Fiji islands. We were exhausted from our long journey. By accident, we took the wrong Sheraton shuttle and arrived at the hotel only to find out that our reservation was at a different hotel. When we were informed that our reservation was at a near by Sheraton, my sister and I looked at each other in disbelief because we didn¿¿¿t have the energy to find that hotel or even how to get there. The desk agent Adrienne and her manager Gustafa called a cab for us and paid for our ride to the hotel. Adrienne, waited with us at the valet drive and waved us good bye. We would like to express our heart-felt thanks for the great job you both did for us. All along you both were perfectly professional, helpful and really very nice to interact with. Despite the hassle of arriving at the wrong hotel, you both resolved our mistake and if it weren¿¿¿t for the two of you sally and I would have been completely lost. We defiantly, rate our brief experience at your hotel better than the Sheraton Fiji or the four points Sheraton we stayed at by the airport.

Good hotel nearby LAX with average price. Complementary shuttle bus is available from/to airport every 10 to 15 mins. Free wifi and high speed internet is provided in the room and lobby including restaurant inside. Coffee machine and starbuck cup and bean are also given in the room as complimentary. Italian restaurant in the hotel is not so bad. I recommence you to stay if you just have to wait for flight transferring.

Can't wait to post this review once I come back from a family trip in US.First I have to express my gratitude to our fantastic travel experience in US, everyone is so nice and helpful to us, from airport, national parks, car rental.. Almost at everywhere we had great time that we even didn't feel we were in a foreign country.Until we had our last stop in LA staying at gateway sheraton. Very convenient location and it did help a lot. BUT the service is the worst among all the starwoods property I've ever stayed! First at check in they didn't entitle me the platinum benefit so that next morning we were pushed away from the lobby breakfast buffet by telling us only 2 people were allowed. I was very disappointing at the staff there impolitely telling us we should go to the club lounge to resolve this problem (wasn't a nice move to push us to another department, aren't you all represent the sheraton hotel?). I had to go out to talk to the front desk manager lady and she helped us efficiently and professionally. Such a small thing but so much effort and time we have to pay to resolve this, which is really the first time happened in my travelling experience!After that I thought everything should be good but still the worst happened at the last moment when we prepared to leave. We were 3 ladies and one 78 years old lady and we had 6 pieces of luggage full of shopping. After got our car from the valet, NOBODY ever gave a hand with our luggage during the whole process we try to manage those big cases to fit into our car. I noticed there were like 4 valet guys (including the valet supervisor wearing the black suite!) just standing not far away and one of them just staring at us very indifferently! I was so annoyed, I've spent so many nights at starwoods properties no matter on business or private and I NEVER thought this moment would come! Let's hope this is the worst case in all spg properties! Even though I don't know if I still would like to come back to SPG ever again!PS. They charged us 33 USD for 1 night valet parking and that¿¿¿s the service we deserve!I also stayed at other hotel group in US, hilton, wydham etc, eventhough I m a platinum at spg, I still have to say others are much better no matter in service quality or money worth.To my expression, the worst customer experience is not simply about 1 single horrible thing that happened to you, that is about the general expression, as small as like if the cleaning staff and buffet breakfast staff ever greet you, however I felt so sad, this hotel they didn't even gain any of those basic customer-contact-point points.
