fit for a king
we booked into this hotel last minute and even though it cost a lot, it really was luxury. a huge room with fluffy robes and a lovely view of the city...

nice but not a 4 star
The hotel is showing its age...... Desk service is not good at all and twice I had to make trips to the deck after nothing happened with a phone call. They are starting to renovate. Breakfast is average with a not responsive staff to coffee and such. It is a nice place but not a super place.

fit for a king
we booked into this hotel last minute and even though it cost a lot, it really was luxury. a huge room with fluffy robes and a lovely view of the city. a full gym and swimming pool to and beautiful decor. I still dream of this place!

Excellent service!
We loved this hotel, specially because the service is great. I traveled with my family to Asia and during my mom¿¿s birthday we were at Beijing. We went out to celebrate her and when we came back to the hotel, there was a cake congratulating her. She was very happy and she was felt very special by this little detail the hotel had. They were part of this unforgettable birthday to her.The rooms in the hotel were very clean and nice, and the hotel in general was good value. We spent 3 nights at this hotel and we really recommend it.

Comfortable, clean, we'll located
We enjoyed our stay here , bed reasonable. Easy walk to forbidden city and close to subway which was efficient and easy to use. We found the staff helpful. We did not eat here as there were interesting and economical places close by .

Not expensive and no good
This hotel does not deserve five stars. It is very much 1980th. Need a lot of renovation to fulfill to be a five star hotel. We had to change room 3 times. In the first room the cigarettesmoke came in through ventilation. Second room had a terrible smell of molds. The beds are terribly hard and it is difficult to get a nice sleep. Breakfast is ok for a 2 star hotel perhaps. Personel not very interested in service.Hotel is situated right in the middle between two underground-stations. 700 m each way. Getting a taxi as alternativ is not easy in Beijing today. Stoping a cab in the street takes normaly half an hour because it is only 1 out of twenty who will stop even if they have green light on. Something they learnt after the Olympics?We booked a car with driver two days in advance for a trip to The Great Wall. In the morning forvthe trip no car arrived and it took about one hour to find one availible.
