Great Location!
A great hotel at the Harbor. Can¿¿¿t get much better for under $300 a night in Sydney. The internet and the breakfast are extra, but this seems to be a norm in Australia. The breakfast buffet, though, is more than satisfactory. Don¿¿¿t be shy and ask for cappuccino or latte instead of regular coffee ¿¿¿ it is included in the $29 breakfast price. Cheers!

Location and Friendly Service
Well, it's hard to go wrong when staying at a Marriott, and this great hotel is no exception to that rule. Ideal location right at Circular Quay, so it's convenient to the Opera House, shops, Darling Harbour... everything.Often times, when a location has such a great location, the staff is less than cordial. Not so here. EVERYONE, without exception, was genuinely friendly and helpful, from the doormen (great suggestions for local spots) to the front desk, to the housekeeping staff. Well done, all!Finally, the hotel was immaculate, we never saw anything out of place, never saw anything that was less than perfect.

Weekend getaway
This hotel is very well located and although the lobby is a little dated it is still very comfortable. The staff were very attentive and our room was well appointed. We had a fantastic opera house view from a high floor and all at a very good room rate. One gripe ( I'm sure this applies to other hotels in Australia too) - why do we still have to pay ridiculous amounts for wifi. Even McDonalds provides free wifi. Perhaps the Marriott could lead the way - it's a small thing but we all expect wifi these days.

Wonderful Location-Wonderful Marriott
When I booked this hotel, I didn't know that I would be recovering from a broken foot and hobbling around in a boot cast. So I was delighted to discover how centrally located it was, how accessible from the airport train and tourist buses and how small each floor was (no long treks to the elevators). Even with my cast, it was not difficult to walk to the Rocks neighborhood, the Opera House and all of the ferries, which we used extensively.This location was a bit better than the typical Marriott in decor (no weird carpets) but the post-modern decor allowed for no dresser or nightstand drawers, which made it necessary to live out of suitcases instead of being able to unpack. This minor inconvenience was only bearable because of the PERFECT location!

Great location and really good hotel
We stayed for a few nights prior to a cruise holiday. It was brilliantly located, directly opposite circular quay and we literally walked across the road with our kids, luggage and other family and hopped straight onto a massive cruise ship. So if cruising way to go ! As far as hotel goes, very well appointed, quality breakfast and dining area, pool was basic and small with tiny spa, shopping a hop skip and jump away and we enjoyed the ambience of the foyer - was Christmas and huge tree made kids day. Staff super helpful and friendly. Trip was made from this starting stay.
