I stayed only one night in this beautiful hotel.It looks and feel like a boutique hotel. Elegantly decorated ina contemporary style. Rooms are simple but functional, elegant and modern. The bar and the lounge offer a very relaxing environment as well as the restaurant located in a veranda.The staff is efficient and very friendly.Close to Wimbledon the Lodge Hotel is a great place.Howver the food served at the restaurant is awfull.

We stayed at this hotel for one night. We could not book until 2pm but they very kindly let us park the car before we could book in. The room was very nice tea /coffee at hand The down side was the price of the breakfast .It was good but I thought ¿¿24.00 for two a little steep. I will stay there again but go out to one of the nice little caf¿¿¿¿¿s in Putney

After reading some of the reviews I stayed at the Lodge Hotel with some trepidation. However, there was absolutely no need for concern. The bed and room generally were comfortable, apart from the fact that the room needed black out curtains due to the strong outside lighting. The food was basic but well very well cooked and nicely presented - they were particularly good with soup and fish dishes. The absolute outstanding feature of this hotel was the staff. They were uniformly happy, kindly, eager to please and above all polite. If the curtaining was rectified, thanks to the polite staff, this hotel would have recieved 5 dots......

200 metres from East Putney tube, in an unremarkable setting. The hotel is partly a conversion, so in spite of being new, clean and with standard fittings, my room had no natural light, a window on to a corridor with a bit of passing noise, and a steep step up to the shower. Decent-sized room, smart, comfortable, good night's sleep. I had difficulties getting internet access in my room so I had to sit in the reception area to get it. Dinner was a bit bland but OK, breakast standard English, very good coffee. All staff were polite, prompt and willing. I didn't pay for the room so can't comment on value. Overall a good experience, no serious complaints.

My wife had to go to her home office in East Putney for the week before Easter, and I tagged along. For both of those, it's exceptionally well located. Two minutes walk from the East Putney Tube station. Maybe five from High St.? 10-15 from lovely restaurants on the Thames at Putney Bridge. And this during the snow. Very nice.The room? Small. But that's London, or pretty much any other major city. Certainly not cramped. We had a lovely, big window that opened onto the garden, and allowed plenty of natural light. The bed? Let me put it this way ¿¿¿ it was entirely too easy to let her wake up, get ready, and leave, while I happily curled up in the warmth and comfort of that duvet and mattress. If there was a downside to that, it was that I probably should have been up and exploring the city. I'll take it, and I think you will, too. Ah yes, and quiet. Very, lovely, quiet.It would have been nice to have more closet/storage space. I did have to live out of the suitcase, by and large. I do enjoy being able to take everything out and put it in the closet or a drawer, and that wasn't possible with both of us for a week. But again, part of the difficulty with space in London ¿¿¿ you deal with small spaces.La toilette ¿¿¿ clean and modern. Plenty of hot water with excellent pressure in the shower. A quibble: Due to the fixed glass half-curtain, and the constrained space, when in the shower, water *does* spray over the toilet, parts of the floor, and much of the shelf space for your toiletries. Second quibble: The hotel provides you with body wash, conditioner and shampoo. Unfortunately, while we always had the former two, we didn't get more shampoo, until, if I recall correctly, the last day when we specifically asked for it. Inconvenient, and a little odd.The hotel itself? Free Wifi, always nice. They have an iMac for those without a gadget, though we didn't need to use it. Lovely looking lounges, though, again, didn't really use it. The bar? Very nice. The barmen are very attentive, professional, and utterly friendly. Prices? About what you'd expect. It's London. We never ate there, but that's no reflection on the hotel ¿¿¿ with London (currently, arguably, *the* best dining experience in the world) at our feet, it seemed a shame to not explore at every meal. The staff? Again, utterly professional yet friendly and approachable.Final quibble: Everything seemed very clean. My only concern is that I lost my glasses the first night (I only wear them at the end of the day, going to bed and getting up). I could not find them, searching (seemingly) everywhere. It was only on the last day, getting ready for check out, that I stuck my hand back, not far, in between the nightstand and bed, and found them. I'm a little disturbed that over five or six days, housekeeping didn't come across them.All in all, recommended.
