Very clean nice hotel. Nice location. Clean rooms but perhaps a little on the small side. The views were just amazing and the food was equally as fantastic. Train station was 2 mins away and very easy to get around the city. Internet connection wasnt very good but other than that all was great.

Harbour Grand seems to be a business, events and convention hotel. There were so many meetings, events and conferences going on when I stayed there recently.It's certainly grand -- the lobby alone is huge and impressive, something you don't find in Hong Kong, where space is such a premium. However, the red velvet chairs and the decor in the lobby and on the ballroom floors were quite tacky and cringe worthy.The buffet breakfast at the coffee shop was really very ordinary and the waitstaff quite inefficient and didn't seem to be very enthusiastic about their work. I also checked out the bar on the top floor which had great views of the harbour but I found the food to be below par for the prices they charged and for the supposedly 5 star rating for this hotel.The rooms were not so big and the one that I stayed in had a carpet and furnishings that looked a bit worn, although I was told by the front desk that this hotel is just 4 years old. The location is a bit out of the way of shopping or eating -- it's in the North Point area. The nearest subway station, Fortress Hill is a 5 minute walk away.I did enjoy eating at the many local restaurants along Electric Road, which is just around the corner from the hotel. Otherwise, there was not much else to do in the area.Wifi was very spotty in the room and for a 5 star hotel, I still cannot understand how they can find it within their conscience to charge such high rates for internet connection. I really believe hotels that charge upwards of US$150 for a room, should include free wifi in their room rate.

We stayed in the Harbour Grand for six nights in April. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. We upgraded to a Harbour Club Room and would certainly recommend this to anyone thinking of booking. We had a lovely room with great harbour views and were very impressed with the cleanliness of the room and the facilities included. Check In was very quick at the Harbour club Lounge and the views are fantastic. The staff at the Lounge greeted us each day by name and were very professional and helpful. Cold drinks, tea and coffee are available all day and between 2.30 and 5.30 'tea' was served with sandwiches, cakes, jam and cream scones. At 6 until 9 canap¿¿s, cocktails, wine and beer were served. Great choice of snacks and all delicious. Buffet breakfast was also included, with a wide selection of western and Chinese food available. There was a menu just for the eggs!!!Some of the reviews state this hotel is situated out of the city but we found it easy to get around. Taxis are always available and are very cheap. The MTR is a 3 minute walk away and is very easy to use, it is also immaculate unlike the London Underground! I would advise purchasing an Oyster Card - 50 HK dollars deposit - you can prepay whatever amounts you think you will need. At the end of the holiday it can be cashed in and you are able to go into debit once with this card. We were able to use the Oyster Card on all methods of public transport, buses, trams, Star Ferry and the ferry from Llama to Aberdeen.There are a few convenience stores within a short walking distance from the hotel along with coffee shops and bakers. I would stress it felt very safe walking outside of the hotel at night as did all of Hong Kong.We dined in the Le 188 restaurant and would thoroughly recommend this. The views at night are spectacular and the food was the best we have ever eaten. It is, however, quite expensive but worth every penny. We used the bar downstairs and found the drinks to be reasonable. The service from all staff was faultless.We didn't try the pool as it wasn't the best weather but it was open and looked great.I would definitely stay here again.

Everything you'd expect of a high end hotel and a little more. A very beautiful interior. I highly recommned going to the restaurant on the top floor - high end food with a spectacular view. Staff were friendly and efficient. Its not in the best location if you want to walk to anything of interest but the MTR station is a one minute walk so its easy to get around the city.

We stayed here for 1 week. The room was good, the beds very good. Our view was not towards the city but still nice. The internet and mobile phone connection was very poor in the room, better in the top floor bar. The food there was ok, nothing to write home about, but the view stunning!Breakfast was on the 3rd floor in a huge room with anything you can imagine. Good waffels!We would stay here again because the price was right. Not for the location - you need a cab or take the underground to go anywhere.
