If you are looking for something special for Mothers Day next year, you cannot go past the Crowne Plaza Terrigal's Mothers Day High Tea. A glass of champagne on arrival for the Mums, a superb High Tea buffet selection, excellent service, a talented singer providing excellent background music and gorgeous views. The buffet selection included hot pastries, mini bagels, finger sandwiches, scones with jam and cream, a selection of slices, mini cupcakes, 2 chocolate fountains, a separate spread for those who are gluten-free and tea and coffee, of course.

Location is by the beach, breakfast is the best, rooms are a bit tired
I have mixed feelings.The breakfast is among the best of any hotel Ive been too in australia - smoothies, juice bar, many types of fruit. Service is brilliant.The gym is old but pretty good.Pool are is old but pretty good.Indeed, entire hotel is dated but the views of the beach are stunningThe room was not as clean as expected, and the carpets seem a bit tired.

Great Family Getaway
We stayed for a weekend with 2 kids and they loved it, from the pool to the buffet breakfast we loved it all. Day Spa is so relaxing and the staff are really lovely. Shops are very close and lots of great restaurants. Staff on the front desk are very helpful, nothing was a problem. Highly recommend, will definitely be back.

Great location, good stay
We stayed Saturday night in an ocean view room. The hotel is beautiful. The lobby, pool and public areas are 5 star. I have stayed here many years ago and since then the rooms have been modernized to a nice standard. The bathroom, yet large and modern is lacking any character. All white and very clinical, not five star. The room was clean and had amazing views of the beach as the hotel is directly across the road from the beach. While I was in bed I could hear the waves crashing on the sand.The bedding was nice but the bath towels could do with updating as they were almost thread-bare. I did like they gave extra towels (two each) and the bath robes were fluffy and clean.Check in and out was quick and easy. They charge for parking however right behind the hotel is a large multi level car park that is free, so if you want to save some dollars use this instead. It's a one minute walk from the car park to the hotel.There are HEAPS of cafes, resturants, shops and a mini supermarket in the immediate vicinity. We ate the Florida Beach Bar and for $40 we got a tandori pizza and two bowls of wedges. The pizza was delicious.We used the pool and spa, which were really nice and had great views of the ocean.Overall we enjoyed our stay and would return, the rooms are not quite five star, I would say a four.

Nice but aging, breakfast a must.
We stayed on our wedding night early April and it took too long to get things sorted at the counted firstly on arrival. Rooms are ok but the bath/shower combo is a disgrace- you can't even stand under the shower head! We also had issues with the key not working. The breakfast buffet was fantastic however, highly recommend that!
