Comfortable & enjoyable experience!
My stay at this hotel was because I attended a course being held on the premises. Had a lovely stay. The bed was amazing. Hadn't had such good sleeps as I did there. Was very comfortable. Breakfast was enough to skip lunch. Staff were all friendly and very accommodating. I felt at home in this peaceful surroundings.

Great Stay for NYC
This hotel was a wonderful stay and experience! We stayed here for our NYC trip. It was great for the price and location.The remodeling process didn't affect us in any way, except for maybe just a little bit longer wait for an elevator, but nothing to complain about. Our room was huge and the beds were AMAZING!!! Great night's sleep every night with wonderful bed linens and comfy mattress. Getting to NYC was easy, we just walked less than 5 minutes away to the bus stop and hopped on the 129 bus that takes you to the Port Authority Bus Terminal. Just watch your times on the bus schedule so you won't have to wait very long at the bus stop. The trip took about 20 minutes, sometimes more depending on traffic, we only had one night coming back that it took 1 1/2 hours, but definitely not a typical ride back. Breakfast has lots of selection, eggs, sausage, potatoes, bagels, muffins, juices, coffee. Plenty to fuel up on for the day. I would recommend staying here for an NYC trip, especially if you're looking to stay out of the city with it's high prices.

Night Mare on Harmon Plaza
This property was previously a Crown Plaza hotel where my wife and I usually stay when we go to see plays in NYC. I recently converted to a Clarion hotel. I read some of the reviews after the conversion. I ignored the negative reviews I saw thinking that by now they would have been correted.Not So. Only one of the two elevators is still not working.The temperature in our room was warm at 78 degrees. Was told by the front desk that there was no air conditioning at this time. Suffered all night. Took me 25 minuted to check in. Incompetent staff. Will avoid this hotel in the future.

great choice for your trip to NYC
My decision to stay at the Empire Meadowlands hotel, proved to be a terrific choice. Is is really ideally located. There are a couple of choices of public transportation available right nearby and it took under a half an hour to get right into the city. The room we stayed it was really nice and comfortable. We even had a terrific view of the city skyline right from our window. And, you just can't beat the price. I would definitely stay here again. It really was a smart choice for us.

Good for the price
I have now stayed at this hotel 2 times in the last year. Both times the hotel served the purpose for what I needed. Both times however the temperature in the room was not acceptable and the hotel was not able to provide any relief. The first time I stayed was in August of 2012 and it was a hot 90 degree day and the AC in the room was never able to get the room below 76 degrees. I stayed again on April 26th which was an average spring day however the room temperature was 77 degrees. The AC was not on in the room and when mentioned this to the hotel staff they advised it was too early for the AC and that it had to be a certain temperature outside before they could turn it on. They advised to open a window which provided no relief. I like this hotel because of its location and easy on and off access to the highway however I also want my stay to be enjoyable and I found that difficult with the room temperature as high as it was.
