Seems to be less polished than it used to be.
Stayed 3 times in the last month. In a suite each time. Overall the facilities are still very good as in general is the food and beverage. Concierge service is great. Have been coming here regularly for at least 10 years.Reception is now extremely patchy, long queues, no separate executive lounge check in, little or no information at check in regarding SPG benefits, room availability often delayed. Housekeeping is the slowest I have come across in a true 5 star property in some time. Room was often not serviced until 4pm. "Turn down" came one night at 9pm when we were already going to bed. It smells of cutbacks in staff numbers. It seems much worse on weekends.The executive lounge is a great location, food and beverage ok (not great like they used to be). Lounge is crowded and very noisy in peak periods at breakfast and drinks. Breakfast in the main restaurant was better and had better service and coffee.Overall it's still a good hotel but I fear no longer a great one. Stay if you get a good price. My colleague was at the Hilton in the next street and I think I'll give it a try next time.

All around lovely!
The view from the room, the delicious food, the incredibly friendly staff...just a perfect place to stay in Sydney. I thought the location was perfect, and the concierge was very helpful in explaining public transportation. After walking off jet lag I ordered room service, and this might be the best room service meal I have ever had! Room was clean, the bathroom was spacious and overall it was a very lovely experience!

Disappointing
A big disappointment for the price we paid! We had a pokey tiny room with an ugly view of a wall. Despite requesting a king bed we were given a queen and this awful room. The prices for room service etc are ridiculous for the quality of food.the oly thing that was good was the bathroom which was very nearly bigger than our room!

Enjoyable hotel
We stayed in the hotel for one night. We attended a wedding in the city that night, and it was a short walk across town back to the hotel from Cockle Bay Wharf. Our room was nice with a spacious bathroom, but next time I wouldn't pay the extra for the park view room, as we could really only see the tops of a couple of trees. Our room rate included breakfast, and the selection was exceptional. We valet parked our car, despite it being very expensive.

Very good stay
Stayed at this hotel yesterday. Good location! Took the train from the airport to St James st and the hotel is only 2 minutes walk from the st. Check in was smooth and I was upgraded to a spacious park view room (as a Gold SPG). Room was v well appointed. We were v happy with it. Check out was efficient! Will return again soon.
