A NIGHT OUT IN SYDNEY
I use this hotel regularly in Sydney on business. This night was a leisure night out with friends.The reception is always welcoming and the hotel is central to China town and Darling Harbour with all the restaurants.The rooms at the Radisson are huge in comparison and the bathrooms very large as well.This hotel is a hidden gem in Sydney and one I will continue to use. The gym is the only part of the hotel that doesn't meet my standard of a good hotel for regular stays.

Good stay ..............
This was our second time staying at this hotel. Welcomed with a smile from Reception, quick and easy check in. Went up to room 712. Large spacious room, much larger than the usual hotel room. Nice and clean. Room has two hot plates and I believe you can purchase a kitchen package for use in the room. Bed was large and comfortable. Large bathroom with shower in a square bath so possibly not suitable for the elderly or infirm. Tea and coffee provided but only one type of tea provided, English Breakfast. Last time I stayed here no dressing gowns provided, this time two very nice ones sitting in the wardrobe.Went into the lst floor bar for happy hour 5-7 pm. Comfortable space if lacking a little atmosphere. Some music could perhaps help. Ordered two beers and two champagnes. Beers came first with the two women in the party waiting for the champagne. Apparently they needed to obtain it from another area. Bit strange for a bar. All in all a good stay, this part of Sydney can be noisy at night so if you are a light sleeper best to ask for a room not facing Liverpool Street. However, good value hotel right in the middle of Sydney close to Darling Harbour, Chinatown etc.

Spacious and close to everything
Stayed 4 nights with family in 2 bedroom apartment on level 2. We arrived early morn and were able to go into room. Nice and spacious and clean. Nice big kitchen area. Staff were friendly and helpful. Pool was just warm enough on a cool night to swim in. Only problem was the inconsiderate smokers staying in room above us kept throwing their butts off their balcony which then landed onto our patio which we weren't able to use because of this. Other than that had a great stay. Cleaning staff very friendly and polite. Very close to Chinatown, darling harbour and train stations. Would stay here again.

Good value for money
On a recent business trip I stayed at this Hotel for 1 night. I was looking for a place in the CBD/Darling Harbour area and most hotels can be quite expensive in this area. I found the Radisson and was pleasantly surprised with the whole experience. Firstly the location is excellent, just minutes to Darling Harbour and other attractions in the area. On check in which was very fast, I was given a room on the second floor but it faced the street below which I wasn't happy about. I asked the front desk if they had anything away from the street and the gentlemen was extremely helpful and immediately moved me to the 7th floor facing the back of the hotel. The room itself was quite big and although it showed signs of wear & tear it was clean & comfortable. I didn't eat dinner here as I was meeting friends but came back the next morning for breakfast which was good. The Hotel has free WiFi, a gym, business centre and valet parking which is $27.00. My room was $199.00 for a Queen bed which was alot cheaper than most of the other Hotels I checked out. I found all of the staff to be friendly & helpful which made my experience positive, so I would definately come back again.

Has lost it's appeal
We have stayed at this hotel a number of times due to the location and sheer convenience when we are exhibiting at trade shows at Darling Harbour.... however I have to say that we were somewhat disappointed with the hotel this time round.... It is becoming tired and shabby and the level of service has diminished tremendously.The in-house restaurant is still not bad - a reasonable choice of meals for dinner. and a good choice for the breakfast buffet. The "muzak" in the restaurant is annoying and too loud for a normal conversation, to the point of being intrusive.We asked for a quiet room and this was accommodated. It was clean and tidy but there were little things that needed attention.The small table in the room had a leg support missing, The sofa needs new springs or replacing completely, and you need to be an Olympic gymnast or a contortionist to be able to reach the toilet paper. We drank a bottle of wine the first night from the mini bar (and consumed other items during our stay) - and none of them were replenished for the duration of our stay (1 week). We had trouble with the remote controls for the tv - which were addressed and then rectified properly the next day. The worst thing that happened was arriving back to the room at 9.30 one evening (after leaving for our trade show at 8.15am) to find the glass sliding balcony door wide open and the curtains billowing in. To say we were horrified is very mild. After a quick check to see that nothing was missing & after trying to close the door ourselves we went back down to Reception. The Duty Manager was off hand and dismissive and treated the whole incident as a bit of a joke - but promised to look into it and get back to us the next day.We could have closed the door with force - but didn't want to break anything.You guessed it...no explanation was received. The only other thing I would say is that the staff don't treat customers vehicles with very much care or respect. We happened to see 2 different people driving our vehicle from the car park back to reception to us - and one was driving very erratically,to put it mildly, and the other was driving like they were in Grand Prix. Luckily it was a quiet morning and the streets were not busy. Would I go back here again? I will have to think long and hard about it.
