It was a nice stay. We had the standard room, a little outdated, but nice, clean and big. The location was convinient for us as I was staying with a friend for a wedding party in Mineola, Long Island. I have no complaints and the service was professional, quick and helpful.

I stayed here for a night on a business trip. The hotel building and approach is impressive. The reception staff were friendly.I had booked a larger room, which turned out to be totally unnecessary. It was two large double rooms: one with a large bed and large bathroom, and the other had a sofa, armchairs, dining table and kitchenette. I was only stopping overnight but the room was so large I could have moved in my family for a week. The decor is pretty cheesy - chintzy patterns, cushions with tassles, large drape curtains. This is not a place that pretends to be a design hotel and it generally looks like it was untouched since the 1980s.Wifi is free in the lobby but supposedly charged in the rooms (ridiculous in a hotel at this price). However, I connected in the lobby and after that was able to use the wifi for free even in my room.The bed was large and very comfortable. The bathroom was ok, fittings were generally a bit plastic. There was one real oddity. On the back of the bathroom door is a full length mirror. When you close the bathroom door it is just a few feet away from the toilet bowl, almost in touching distance. So if you are sitting on the toilet, you have an unavoidable full length view of yourself in a position that your grandchildren are unlikely to want to remember. Surely there is a better place for the mirror?The hotel was pretty quiet when I was there. It felt like the kind of place that needs a conference or a few more guests to come alive. Without them it was flat and unatmospheric. Overall the hotel is fine, but really rather forgettable, if you find yourself in the area.

My husband and I stayed there for a night and the following day, we had our wedding brunch celebration. The room was super spacious and we had more space than we could imagine! We reserved a 'standard' room and were upgraded for free!! Service was great, the staff was accommodating and it felt like a 'mini-vacation'. We knew we were gonna eat a ton, so we went to the gym on the day we checked in. The gym was really nice with cardio equipment, weights and even a sauna!As far as the food is concerned, the Sunday brunch is amazing!! More options than you could imagine and not to worry- the hotel isn't worried about quantity... but more so, quality. If you're looking for something close to New York City, it's about a 40-45 minute train ride. If you're not heading into the city, a huge shopping mall is about a 5 minute drive/taxi ride and a few nice restaurants and bars are a 5 minute walk away. Great place with great service!

This is a very pretty hotel, well preserved, with excellent service throughout. Rooms and bathrooms were of decent size with all the amenities you would expect of a nice hotel. It is located near major shopping, dining and event venues making it a convenient choice for those needing a hotel for a night or two. Valet parking is available or you can park yourself. Ho fee for parking. A nice bar and restaurant area is very accommodating and service is very good. They are famous for their Sunday brunch, which is an amazing assortment of every tasty thing you can think of. Daily rates are in the low 200's with added taxes. Breakfast was excellent and the prices were fair.

First time staying here, I had high hopes but they were shot down. Ancient furniture, not even antique just old, stained and badly chipped. The decor is hideous and the bathroom was dirty and cracked tile floor. The whole vibe was off...for the price go it sucked! Didn't even stay the whole night I was so grossed out...very disappointing!
