Very good hotel but not outstanding
Stayed in this hotel several times over the last 5 years. The fact I was returning to that place over and over again says that overall I was quite satisfied with it. Rooms are spacious and clean. However, once I requested a room on high floor trying to avoid traffic noise in the morning from busy Northbourne Avenue and was unlucky enough to get a room right under air-conditioning equipment or something on the roof that was very noisy for the whole night :(The breakfast was always great with a good variety of available options.On the other hand for their prices there's a whole variety of other great options available in CBD. The advantage that they had before was their Choice Hotels membership, which they don't have anymore.

Good bet
My wife and I stayed in a one bedroom apartment for four nights. The staff were very friendly and we were happy with all of the facilities. We wanted to keep our costs down by cooking every night and the kitchen was very well-equipped with everything we needed. The sitting room, bedroom and bathroom were all clean and well-equipped. If I was being really picky, I would say that an extra table could have been provided in the bedroom as it's always useful for putting things on. The flat screen TV was fine, but it could desperately do with a new remote control. Overall, this was a very good experience for us and we would return here and recommend it to others.

Excellent
Lovely place ro stay very very clean staff friendly we could not get the television in bedroom to work so we rang reception and a very helpful and courteous fellow came up and got it going. Well done to management .

Cleaners need to lock the balcony doors.
On arrival the receptionist hardly spoke, let alone welcome us. We did get an upgrade and were surprised by how spacious the apartment was. The bathroom was not that big and if you had a family to deal with, it could be a nightmare. The layout was perfect, the bed comfy but the fuzzy tv viewing was unwelcomed. Also unwelcomed was the cleaners leaving both balcony doors open with the fly screens across only. Not happy about that and glad nothing went missing. The view was nice from our balcony though. Pool is not heated and was freezing cold. We also had dessert in the Breeze Restaurant and would not recommend the Sticky Date Pudding. No Butterscotch sauce at all just a chocolate topping for decoration.

A Pleasant Surprise!!!
Six nights in two different apartments in two different sections of the property because of a side trip. Very functional and spacious. Apartments are well fitted out with all the necessaries. The beds are terrific! The cleaning staff are very good and cheerful in their work. The pool area is great for those who feel the need may be a different story if the new building next door is a high rise and blocks the sun. If you have a choice ask for a room away from the front road as the traffic noise can be disturbing in the mornings, The restaurant was a pleasant surprise. The menu, the food, the service and the value for money were all impressive. I have always been a little sceptical about inhouse dining but this demanded a return visit. The free parking which is easy to access is a bonus.
