I choose to stay at the Mercure Adelaide as it is good value and extremely central for all my requirements.I has a good exercise facility and the staff have always been excellent,inattention to detail.I have no reason to try other hotels,Don Chambers

Great budget stop
Hotel was extremely clean & suits those looking for clean comfortable accommodation. Staff were very friendly.Breakfast was a little expensive for what was served.Overall, great place & location, room a tad small but it suited me this trip.

Good location
The Mercure is in a perfect location to see most of the major sights of Adelaide. It's just a few minutes walk to the historic art gallery, museum, university and the Rundle Mall shopping precinct. The hotel d¿¿cor and lobby is nothing spectacular, rather drab in fact. The standard rooms are reasonably well appointed and comfortable. My only complaint would be the small bathroom sink and there's not much room in the bathroom. It's the staff who add that extra to a hotel and all staff certainly achieved this during my stay. All were professional and helpful, particularly the dining room staff. Service was quick and professional, especially during the busy breakfast period.I had dinner one night at the hotel and our waiter was very helpful and knowledgeable. A good Adelaide hotel, nothing spectacular, but pleasant. Would stay again.

Good location but no sleep
We stayed here for one night as we were being picked up the following morning to go on a trip to Kangaroo island. Our room (described by reception as one of the better rooms) was small, clean, good bathroom and overlooked a grotty exterior wall at back of the hotel which was quieter. However, knowing it was just for one night I wasn't too bothered as I was looking forward to an early night and a good sleep. Not to be! The walls are paper thin. When the guests next door arrived I thought they were actually sharing the room with us!! Every word spoken could be heard clearly in our room. Their alarm went off at 04.30 a.m. (I think by accident). I jumped out of bed thinking it was mine. Instead of everyone going back to sleep, we had to endure an hour of their conversation, TV watching etc. At one point I heard the husband saying in whispered tones" Perhaps we should be a bit quieter" to which he got the reply from his wife " Don't you tell me to be quiet!!!" In short, do not stay here if you want a night's sleep.

disappointed
No shampoo in room. Parking underground very hard to navigate even in a small car. Could not get into the hotel at street level and had to drive around the block several times then ring the hotel to find out where to park to check in.Very confusing.
