Caring service
Our allocated room was subjected to building noises from the adjacent building. But before we could unpack or comment, management rang us on the room phone and apologised and advised that we were being moved to a quieter room. Porter arrived within minutes and showed us to a new room on a higher floor. Much appreciated.Car parking 400 metres away by arrangement with a commercial car park. A littl;e inconvenient but not a problem.

Around the corner from one of Melbourne's best laneway precinct!
This was my second time to stay at this hotel in the space of 6 months and whilst the hotel was already great the first time they were superb this time around. Fantastic location, very friendly and helpful staff, the quietest rooms considering the central location - and with hip Degraves Lane just around the corner and Flinders St train station across the road, there is no better location to stay. Melbourne is a city built for walking around and the distances are much closer than they look like on the map. Don't believe some of the nasty reviews - the hotel room is immaculate, newly refurbished, I like the mii spa toiletries and one of the best beds around. It was overall a most pleasant experience.

A touch of comfort in the middle of the hustle and bustle
Located right across the road from Flinders St Station, means that this place is a breeze to get to.Great facilities, perfect service, and the food is surprisingly good! Rooms are suitable for business travel, and there is a business centre in the hotel.

Excellent hotel...really impressed across the board!
I had read a couple of not so glowing reports about the Citigate, so was a little concerned re our stay.I booked it because it is literally a stone's throw to Hamer Hall & Southbank...brilliant location!We were travelling with my brother, who has an intellectual disability & were unable to get a room for all 3 of us.Citigate were great...they gave us 2 rooms adjoining each other, & went out of their way to ensure that we were happy & secure.Clive in particular was wonderful, answering my questions & making sure we knew to contact him if there were any problems...which there weren't!The rooms were well appointed, tastefully decorated & quite large.The bathroom was good, plenty of room in there, although the shower is over a bath....but there is a solid handrail to assist getting in & out.The beds were very comfortable & there were plenty of pillows.The lobby Restaurant, where we had breakfast, was really nice...open & airy.The food was good quality with a large range of choices available.Checkin & checkout were quick & easy, with staff very helpful regarding the touristy things available nearby.We will definitely stay here again & look forward to seeing what Accor plan to do regarding the renaming/branding of the hotel.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Football Reunion
Found the hotel to be very central to everything. Nice Breakfast. Room clean and comfortable. I recommend this hotel, and I would visit again. Parking was a little further away than expected, but small sacrifice!
