Great to Stay at Sebel for weekedn visit to enjoy Sydney
We booked in for 2 nights and had a wonderful stay at the Sebel. The free shuttle bus made accessing the cbd and opera house for a show and shopping hassle free. Central station was only a short walk away if needed. But what we loved most was the short walk up Albion st and down Crown st in Surry Hills to try out the trendy Cafes and have ice cream as Messinas. All in all a fun and relaxed stay in Sydney.

Relaxing stay
Our stay at the sebel surry hills was very pleasant, we were welcomed by warm friendly staff and even tho we had arrived well before our checkin time we were immediately given a room without any fuss, this on my previous experience w hotels is very rare! Our room was spacious and clean, bed was comfortable and was great for just kicking back and relaxing. We had buffet breakfast each morning in albays the onsite restaurant, a great selection of food and great value. The positioning of the hotel is great with lots of shopping jus around the corner - when we checked in we were given a map and the lovely girl working spent ages showing us where everything was. We had a great stay, was relaxing and we were very impressed at all the extra lengths the staff went to to ensure our stay was pleasant, even on checkout the staff organized us transport to the airport for later that evening - we weren't technically even a guest anymore and the great hospitality continued. Will definitely return and recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a place that you feel welcome and just to unwind. We will be back :)

GReat location
The Sebel Surry hills is in a great location, just on the edge of the CBD. We arrived and I thought the shower alcove had not been cleaned , I called housekeeping and immediately the supervisor came up. she told me the shower had been cleaned and explained the tiles were stained and demonstrated this fact. She offered to get it cleaned again, but I said it would not be necessary . Obviously the choice of tiles in the bathroom was not the best one. Our mini fridge in the room also broke down, maintenance was called, and within an hour we had a new fridge. The maintenance man insisted on unloading the broken fridge & reloading the new one . The room( studio suite) was a generous size. The bed was divine!!!!!!

Great location
One night stay on a business trip. Very close to central station which makes it easy to access airport etc..Staff on front desk very nice and had no trouble leaving luggage there to collect later. Room was nice but basic. Good size. Had queen size bed but could have had a thicker quilt. Had to turn up the air con to keep warm. one bed side light didn't work and there was no PowerPoint to plug it into. Entry foyer needs some colour to bring it into the era. A bit old and clinical. Spruce up the under floor aquarium. It looks neglected and it could be a great feature. Booked it on a wotif mystery hotel so got a great deal and worth the cheap rate. Not sure i would have liked to pay the double normal rateHad in room breakfast which was a bit cold. Motel should organise for shuttle bus to stop there regularly. Not everyone wants to pay $35 for a cab or walk with luggage to the trains. They will ring one for you but didn't know what time and advised it could be over an hour to arrive.
