Great location
The hotel has great location being very central, but still on a quiet side street. The rooms are more old/ old fashioned furnished, and some bathrooms are quite outdated & small. The hotel does not have very good isolation, and I have often wondered (yes, I keep returning here too...) whether there is a party or an elephant in the room above mine. But then again, once I fall asleep I'm good for the night. But for the light sleepers the floors might be too squeaky. Then again, the breakfast will make it up - delicious food with good variety and a lovely canal view. Not to mention that attached to the hotel is the best coffee chain in NL: The Coffee Company! I always leave this hotel with a smile.

Nice hotel in a great location
This hotel is located in an older style mansion and is very interesting on the inside with a lot of original and restored detailing. We got a room on the top floor with amazing views of Amsterdam. The staff was really good when they were there, however, after five PM you could rarely find anyone to help with anything. Even room service didn't answer the phone which was quite disappointing for a four star hotel.

Definitely NOT recommended!
I recently stayed in NH Doelen during a business trip to Amsterdam. I am a frequent traveller and I am used to stay in hotels all around the world (India, Europe, US, South America). Unfortunately I must say that this was one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed. The location is great and I have no complaints against the staff, who were friendly. Apart from that everything else was terrible. Squeaky floorboards, no noise insulation between rooms, very tired deco, paint peeling in areas, bathroom ceiling full of mould, noisy, no double glazing (it was almost like you we're sleeping in the middle of the street, had to go downstairs to reception and ask for ear plugs), small uncomfortable bed, stains on the walls, dusty furniture, no means of controlling temperature and the list goes on.Above all this room was completely overpriced for the standards it offers. I stayed in other NH hotels before and was surprised with the poor facilities this hotel offers.

Don't waste your money...
Won this so call 4 star hotel from Priceline. Location is awesome but other than that everything else is not!! The furnitures are outdated, rooms are not clean, bathroom looks like it was from the 80s. We even have a small CRT TV in the room! No fitness center!! How can this be 4 star hotel?VERY over-priced for what the hotel has to offer!! Never will stay there again!!

Ottima posizione
The Hotel is located in the center of the city near to the metro station and the flower market. The rooms are nice and clean with a nice view from the window.The breakfast room is not in the hotel, but next to it.
