We booked the hotel for 5 nights because of the good recommendation in Tripadvisor.After a very stressful trip we were happy being confrontated with very friendly personnel. The Congierces were always very friendly, helpful and informative.All questions came up were answered very quickly and reliable by the congierces. Also they offered us a pick up to the airport (which saved us a lot of money and stress compared to Taxi/Sub).Also the suitecase carrier was very friendly, good small talk skills and answered question to cultural differences (like tips and stuff).The room was very tidy. Also the design elements were state of the art and the room looked like fresh refurbished. For a Hotel in Manhattan I think the price is very good. For sure the rooms are small but with respect to the price and the fact that Manhattan is expensive and space is confined is absolutely fine.The only thing I have criticize is that the windows and not very soundproofed (honking cars and people talking to each other on the street can be heard clearly). I needed earplugs to sleep good.Also we had a direct look at the Empire State Building which was great. The Hotel is not too far away from the Time Square and has Subway Stations for the yellow and green line very near.Subway plan will be provided by the Hotel.Result:Except of the missing soundproof quality of the windows it was a great stay. For sure a Hotel I will keep in mind for my next visit.

Staff was nice and the place was very clean, but there's little to recommend in the immediate area. Updated shower was good, but my room was particularly small. The sink couldn't event fit in the bathroom.

Visited King & Grove 27th May for a 4 night break with my friend for her birthday. E.mailed ahead to ask for a quiet room on a high floor. On arrival which was in the evening we were allocated a twin room on the 7th floor, granted it was quiet but very very small. Spoke to Brittany the next morning who had received my e.mail and without any fuss was offered to look at 2 much larger rooms. The room we chose was on the 11th floor and was very very comfortable. The hotel is in quite a good location for walking to Empire State Building and 5th Avenue. We had beakfast each morning in Penelopes, 2 blocks from hotel, very nice and reasonably priced. As previously mentioned by others tea/coffee facilities in the room would have been a bonus. Overall a good stay.

My daughter and I stayed here for four days last week and thoroughly enjoyed it. We originally booked a standard twin room but on reading several reviews I realised that these were quite small so I contacted the hotel to ask to change to a queen room. Michael the manager was very helpful and said he would give us a premier queen room as they have a bit more room. When we arrived the room was great - more than enough room for us - the only problem was we could not get internet connection. However I told reception and the next morning they moved us to another premier queen room that had no problem with the internet. As has already been mentioned the close proximity to two subway stations and several coffee shops and bars was a real bonus. There is no restaurant or room service but we found that going to the local starbucks (on the corner of the block the hotel was on) and collecting breakfast was no problem. We also used a shop called Bread and Butter on the corner to get a salad or pizza for supper after a hard days sightseeing rather than pay for a large sit down meal. The fact that we could take the food back to our room was a bonus for us.We found it comfortable, clean, well positioned and the staff were very helpful and would definitely stay there again.

our trip consisted of six adults on our second trip to nyc,the location was ideal for us .this hotel is close to 2 metro stations on park avenue serving the six line uptown to grand central or onward to 59th st a couple of blocks to central park,or southbound to lower manhatten ,we walked back from our morning in central park via the rockerfeller center,and grand central and a couple of bars as you do.you are also a short walk to the empire state ,or south to the flatiron building.the hotel is clean although the rooms are small they are clean and serve their purpose,the bathrooms are nice.the pub on 30th st the crooked knife is good for food and beer and well priced better than the rip off merchants at bar29 on 29th st, the staff at the king and grove are friendly and helpful like most people in new york..overall we had another great trip to nyc doing things different than last time and the king and grove served us well ,have fun in nyc thats what your there for ...
