Good location and helpful staff
For visiting Toulouse, you could not wish for a better location. The staff were welcoming and competent. Due to the road works they parked our car as it was difficult to pull up in front of the hotel. The rooms were clean and a decent size. I also thought the price was very reasonable. The only minor issue we had was ordering food in the afternoon as we arrived at an awkward time. The barman however did his best to get us a snack.

Sorry, it is sunday, no pharmacies open...
Friendly staff, both at the reception and the bell captain, very helpful in advising a restaurant or organizing the usual taxies. The lowlights were though the beaten up furniture , people drinking in the corridors (with a full box of biers clearly bought somewhere) and a disappointing advice from a receptionist: my wife felt very bad and was in need of some drugs, a very simple pain relief,...first when asked the receptionist said it was against the law to have the hotel providing any drug to guests, then when asked said that there no pharmacies open on sunday...in all France! Luckily we did not trust such a unhelpful advice, and few mis after thanks to Google and a call to a telephone number, we found the list of pharmacies on duty, found the pain relief and went back to enjoy Toulouse.

OFF TO A BAD START
What a difference a welcome makes. After becoming bewildered by a multitude of closed streets and roadblocks for roadworks which confounded the best efforts of our TomTom, insult was added to injury when my wife received a cold greeting at the reception. Glad to arrive, we commented lightly on how challenging it was to get in and finally arrive and the response was, "That's not my fault". Well no, it wasn't, but why are you being defensive?We had a lot of baggage from shopping excursions and not a finger was lifted or offered to help get it from the car to our third floor room at a far corner of the hotel. The baggage guy seemed to have a defeated attitude. Not a happy place, it seemed, until the next day when we went to breakfast where the waiter was cheerful, helpful and obliging and the buffet was a feast of quality food of great variety.The room was okay, looking a little dated and tired but a recently renovated, quality bathroom compensated. The room was clean and tidy and overall quite good although vulnerable to street noise. Internet access was complimentary and worked well for email but nothing more demanding.The location on the square was excellent with shops, bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. The reception guy earned browny points for his recommendation of a nearby restaurant and for his improved demeanor, although hardly what we'd call endearing!The hotel had some other nice features we didn't have time to use or explore.We loved the city and the people were truly, naturally wonderful (with noted exceptions!) but we'd be inclined to see if we could do better with our choice of hotel next time around.

Well located, bur practically inaccessible by car... Not too friendly staff at the reception...Standard level of comfort, with not a single drop of charm...There are other options more attractive and friendly in Toulouse, and also close to what they call the "hyper centre"...

Stop digging. you found it!
The best price value ratio in the center square of Toulouse. (as you can't get any more centered than that). Walking distance to everything, even with the rain, you will find the pub, bar, restaurant or gastronomy experience you are looking for.The staff speaks several languages (which is a nice change for France) and they are weary to your needs. They are very young but definitely capable of organizing the services the right way.What i like the most:-Internet signal and speed (better than anywhere I have been in France)-The little attentions (supported by a little note every time) : the sleep gimmick making you sleep better, (and it really did), the free Evian water bottles, the multi channel TV with all languages, the view, etc...The fact you are on the square is priceless, for any activities in town and you can tell by the amount of big cheese from Airbus or other airlines, that the hotel is pivotal for business in the Aerospace Toulouse scheme.20mn tops from the airport, you make you way back and forth without trouble, as long as you are in a taxi. The access can be tricky, as the center is grid locked due to the tramway installation road work.I will definitely come back.
