Worth the extra price! Very comfortable and convenient
Can't say enough about how good this hotel is. We stayed for 5 nights in a two bedroom family room which was perfect for our family. Breakfast was beautiful and gave us energy for the day. Rooftop cafe was lovely. This hotel is in such a good location easy to get to Vatican and piazza novona. Bit pricey but so worth it!

very nice hotel convenient to the main sites
stayed at the st george post cruise. if you are looking for somrthing that is close to the vatican that is clean and acceptable and a very nice but expensive small hotel.......this is the one for you.The rooms are a little small and the staff could have almost come from "fawlty towers" (a British comedy sitcom for those reading this that dont have clue to what i am referring to). Sometimes you would ask for something simple to be greeted with a one word reply. That said thelocation is perfect and the rooms are ok for a weekend city break any longer and they are far too small. The linen is second to none as was the maid service. The bar was hit and miss for service. The lunch menu was superb but the evening menu was distinctly average.Breakfast if incuded was nice and a good selection but again - to run out of bread for toast beggared belief. For the money we paid i do expect a little more and a little more in terms of staff service and smiles. This is a modern boteque hotel that needs a little more in terms of customer service.

Enjoyed stay
We stayed at this hotel for a couple of days before embarking on a cruise.The travel agent fixed the hotel for us , and we were delighted by the choice.The room was quite small but tastefully furnished and very comfortable.There was no view but as we were out most of the time this did not matter to usand it was well located for site seeing - 10 minute walk to the Vatican City and five minutes to Castel san angelo.The staff were exceptionally patient and helpful - much nicer than in the usual large city places! Breakfast was a buffet with an excellent choice .We ate out in the evening at local restaurants.There was a computer available in the lobby at no extra cost.We would return here if in Rome again.

Beautiful hotel in perfect location
Just returned from a fabulous trip to Rome.Stayed from Thursday to Sunday in a deluxe king room - wonderful - but why the limited supply of milk for tea and coffee??Modern well appointed boutique style hotel in a fabulous up market location close to all the "must see" places in Rome. Attentive staff who are not over bearing. Lovely spa and restaurant.Would certainly return.A wonderful hotel in a wonderful city.

Good location
We stayed 4 nights - and although we did enjoy the hotel, we were disappointed with our room. It was 111, and featured a disabled bathroom, together with a standard bathroom which perhaps meant that the room was rather cramped? The window view was poor, overlooking some porta-loos! But we did use Bookings.com so I would suggest you book direct and have a dialogue about room choice! Other than that, standard of decor was excellent, as was the breakfast - choice, presentation and service faultless. All the staff were very helpfull. Rooftop bar was closed (just too early in the season) and we missed lunch, being out and about during the day. Via Guilia is a great location - if it's your first time to Rome, make sure you have practical shoes, and be wary of the many scooters, city cars and electric buses that share the little lanes!
