A Great Choice!
I had never been to Saratoga Springs. Friends of ours (The Band Sirsy) were having a CD release party at The Putnam Den, so I looked up all of the hotels in Downtown Saratoga Springs. When I called the Inn at Saratoga, David was very friendly and informative, so based on that, the good reviews, and that it was cheaper than The Holiday Inn across the street, I decided to book the night. The hotel room was very nice, especially for the price. My wife and I decided to eat dinner in the hotel restaurant before the show. It was one of the best dinners we have ever had. We split the raviolis and the brisket - AMAZING! Companies that spend a ton of money on customer service training should just send their employees to observe David or Michelle at the front desk of the Inn! Outstanding service!My only suggestions: The carpet in the hallways and elevator need updating - they looked clean, but worn. The hot breakfast was very limited (but it was included, so it's tough to complain) - I love Eggs Benedict, but many people don't - it was a strange egg product to have as the only egg choice in a buffet breakfast, and no bacon.

Cozy Place
The Inn at Saratoga is one of those places that feel familiar as soon as you walk in. Our room was located on the main floor. Not much of a view out of the two smallish windows, but the four poster bed was comfortable and there were some nice antique pieces as furnishings. Bathroom was clean and adequate. Breakfast was of the usual continental sort, served in a lovely dining room. We had drinks in the bar before dinner, live music was playing then, and the bartender even stayed later than she needed to when we arrived back for a post-supper drink! The location cannot be beat - walking distance down to the main stores and restaurants.

A Mixed Bag
It's hard to be too critical of the Inn at Saratoga, since the location in Saratoga Springs is great, the facilities are very clean, and the staff is very friendly. A great bar, very lively in the early evening. Plus, a very good breakfast is included in the reasonable price. But our room was tired to a point where I was surprised that it was being rented to guests. The bathroom door wouldn't fully close. Old unfilled plaster cracks, a paint job that was started but not finished. I don't think I'd stay there again, but I'd definitely stop for drinks or dinner.

Pleasant Historical Inn
If you like old inns, this one is 170 years old. It is up to date but has it's old world charm. Front desk staff are friendly and accommodating. The breakfast is very nice with lots to choose from. The inn is within walking distance of the Main street in Saratoga Springs which has a variety of activities, great shops and restaurants. The rooms are quite large compared to some inns I have stayed in. The bed was extremely comfortable with a variety of pillows. I would definitely stay here again.

Saratoga Inn - Saratoga Springs, NY
I was fortunate enough to find available one of their remote suites (adjacent to the hotel, in a old remodeled home) and it was fabulous. Great room, great view, great amenities. Perfect. There are two suites (I got one) that are located remotely, still on the Hotel property but at the southwest corner, adjacent to the parking lot. Hard to find but awesome when you find it. The hot tub (jacuzzi) was nice, functional and fit two average sized adults. Great couples setting and overall fabulous.
