Still The Grand Dame Of Market Street. Never Boring!
Ten foot ceilings, solid wood doors, brass fixtures and of course the signature beds make you feel like you're in a storied mansion, back in time. Once you get past the wrought iron doors and the marble interior, the timeless Garden Court is still the Palace Hotel's center piece as it's been for over a century. The pleasant surprise this time was the fashion show taking over on Friday night. We heard it was the hotel's first. Excellent pairing. Granted you're not in Milano, but the Palace Hotel could easily be San Francisco's Diana Majestic. The hotel would exude the same timeless charm it always did, just hipper. But it's the reassurance of great service that really crowns the Palace Hotel in San Francisco. Never boring!

The Palace Hotel San Francisco, CA
The Hotel depicts that old San Francisco charm. Very ornate. Courteous and pleasant staff. Very accommodating staff. The room was very spacious and clean. I did have an issue with the over stuffed feather pillows the first night. The following day I requested a thinner, foam rubber pillow and that helped considerably. We were only there for two nights for my husband's 40th Class Reunion from UCSF. The hotel is centrally located by public transportation. The Electric Bus is only $2 per person. We went down to Fisherman's Wharf and walked around the first afternoon. Dined at Bubba Gump's Shrimp on Pier 39. Many restaurants to chose from around the Wharf. Parking at the Hotel Garage was around $69 a day, but there is another garage right across the alley that only charges $39 a day. The only problem was that the garage opened up at 10 AM on Sunday. So we had to wait around a couple hours before we were able to get our car out and head for home. San Francisco's homeless now line the streets EVERYWHERE in the City. This has become a major problem. They weren't bothering anyone, but you did have to step over them....... a lot.

Best hotel in the City!
I have stayed at the Palace many times. It is a beautiful piece of history. The garden court is magnificent. What really makes this hotel though is the staff. When you first arrive, Paul, Jorge, Marlin, or any of the door men make you feel at home and like family. The Edgar and the other bellmen are speedy and courteous. I love checking in with Ruben Diaz. He is an amazing guest service ambassador. No matter what the need has been over the years, he has always helped to direct me or fix the problem. He always goes above and beyond the level of service I would expect. I must say the Palace is the only place I will stay in the city. Other hotels I have tried are too loud, small, or rude. The Palace is the perfect fit for me and my family. We enjoy the hot tub when we stay and I like that it is always hot and working. A must see and must stay location in the city!

The Palace Hotel
The Palace is one of the best that San Fransico has to offer. The location is great, on the BART line from the airport and on the trolley line to Fisherman's Wharf. Love the Atrium for breakfast and the Pied Pier Lounge for cocktails. Rooms beautifully appointed. Service is top shelf.

Location is the bomb
The palace is super nice and the beds are heavenly. But wait the customer service is awesome let me mention Morey at the front desk at check in was the best let me tell you he sent us a bottle of wine mixed nuts and five bottles of beer and 2 drinks in there bar and said enjoy your time in sfo what a great way to start. The location is good as well it's near lots of food and shopping is a plus plus plus.
