Comfortable, Clean, and Convenient
My two daughters and I stayed here on the recommendation from a friend. We reserved a room for 3 adults through Tingo for a total of $1266 for 4 nights. We paid in advance but we could cancel up until 2 days before arrival. I like that feature since you never know what can happen to interfere with your trip. Tingo will reimburse you if the price should ever be lower from the time you made the reservation. That never happened for us but the price we got was a great value for a NYC hotel in a very convenient location. The only problem we had was when we checked in they said I had only reserved for 2 people and that it was extra for the 3rd person. I, of course, from being tired after a long trip argued that my e-mail confirmation said 3 people and that I had called the night before confirming my reservation that I would have 2 beds. That wasn't sufficient. I had to produce the e-mail that showed I had reserved for 3 adults. This started out our stay with a little bit of a sour note but after the Bellhop (don't know if that is their title anymore), Johnny, helped us and our luggage to the room we began to feel more comfortable. He was the most friendly employee of the hotel that we encountered and was helpful in every way. Thanks to Johnny for all his wonderful smiles and helpful hints on how to get places and where to eat. Our room was on the backside on the 15th floor. No beautiful view, but very quiet at night. Also better for getting on the elevator going down at very busy times because there were only a few floors above us so the elevators weren't completely full by the time they got to our floor. We did not have a suite, but we did have 2 beds and plenty of room. Just know though that the beds are only doubles so if you are used to sleeping with someone else but in a queen or king bed this is going to seem very cramped.:) There are two closets and one is a large walk-in closet with lots of shelves and hooks. One of us could be changing in that closet while one other was getting ready in the bathroom. The bathroom is very small but very functional with an extra shelf above the sink with a toothbrush holder and also a cabinet underneath to put any of your extra stuff. The room had 2 additional mirrors besides the bathroom mirror which was nice when you have 3 women getting ready at the same time. We did have to call for extra towels the first day since there were only 2 large ones provided. I guess that's because they were only expecting 2 adults. I must say though that the towels were very large, absorbent, and of good quality. This hotel is in a great location. We walked to all the Broadway shows that we attended as well as to the Kelly and Michael show. Central Park is just a hop, skip, and a jump away. Subway stations are conveniently located nearby for anywhere you may want to go. Lots of great restaurants and shopping nearby. You cannot go wrong with the location here. This hotel does have a continental breakfast for $9 per person. Every night they put a note under your door that you use to gain admittance to the breakfast. We never did use this because we found several places close by where we could get a full breakfast for about the same price or even less. One morning we went to Green Cafe on W. 58th street and got a full breakfast of an omelette, toast, potatoes, and a cup of coffee for only about $5.50 each plus tax.

Large rooms, easygoing, good location
We really enjoyed our stay here. Having stayed in NYC before I was surprised at how large our room was. The bed was massive and very comfortable. The weather according to NYC levels was low but coming from Europe we found it ok. The only issue being we couldn't switch off the heating. The positives were that it was in a good location, and although we didn't get the breakfast it looked to be good value. Instead we went across the road to the marketplace and bought food and took it to have a picnic in central park. Negatives - The shower was a little odd in that it was a random way to set the temperature. And when we put on the Do not Disturb sign they kept phoning asking were we out of the room yet. The reception area is small and you pay for internet although the cost isn't too bad if in a couple. Positives - good location; size of room; cleanliness. Would definitely recommend it. Also go to UBC comedy improv night if you want a cheap night out but something a little different.

Great value in a great location
We stayed here for 8 nights to 15th May and were delighted with our accommodation. We had a king-bed suite on the 14th floor at the rear which had a huge living room and bedroom plus small bathroom and kitchenette. The suite was spotless and the bed was really comfortable - we slept very well and we had no problems at all during our stay. It was very quiet at night on the 14th floor and we heard no noise at all from neighbouring rooms although the hotel seemed to be very busy. The location is terrific being within walking distance of so many attractions. The reception staff were courteous and helpful when approached but we didn't have much interaction with them. I loved the Morton Williams supermarket opposite! They had a hot food counter with a dining room upstairs and free wifi so we used it once or twice when we had to come back to dry off before setting off out again! It rained a lot last week! We also ate at Angelo's next door on a couple of occasions and thought the food and ambience were great.

Great Location, large rooms, friendly staff
My wife and me stayed 9 Nights in May 2013 and it was amazing. The Suite was clean and very spacious with comfortable Beds, big Bath and a Kitchenette with refrigerator and a microwave. The location is great, just across the street is a Starbucks and a drugstore, also Restaurants and Deli¿¿s in the nearest neighbourhood. To 5th Avenue is just a block even to Central park, two Subway-Stations within spitting distance. The staff was always friendliy and helpful. When we return to NYC we would surely again put up at this hotel.

Good value, large rooms, great location
My family and I enjoyed a 5 night stay in April this year. We booked a 1 room suite which was slightly dated but immaculately clean and extremely spacious. Apparently the sofa bed in the living area was quite uncomfortable for my son - but he wasn't paying, I was! Good to have a refrigerator and microwave oven in the room, but sadly no running water to the kitchenette sink. For UK visitors I think a kettle beats a coffee machine in a room. We didn't partake of breakfast in the hotel ($9 p.p) choosing to eat locally instead - mostly at Mangia nearby. BEWARE! the information file in the room was not up to date, and the prices of the local eating places were wildly inaccurate. You will have to wait for the ageing lifts between floors during peak times and during church services - it seems one of the lower floors is part of the Baptist Church which owns the building. The hotel was a street away from Central Park, an easy walk to Times Square and between two Subway stations for trips further afield. We bought 3 Day New York Passes and saved money on admissions to all of the major sights, and could have saved more with planning. Others might prefer a City Pass which restricts entrance to chosen attractions for less money - and less need to dash hither and thither to ensure you are getting your value. Concierge was friendly and knowledgeable. Reception staff were efficient. We would certainly return.
