Quirky and convenient
We stayed at this hotel at the beginning of june. The staff were helpful and friendly and are also an essential source of local knowledge - better service than the TIC:-). The decor is unusual with some quite eccentric touches but personally we liked that and the artwork has charm especially when you know who did it. This hotel is more like a b and b - we found our room to be clean, quiet and of a decent size but its not ultra modern like a chain hotel. There was plenty to eat at breakfast - buffet continental style. In terms of location it at first seems miles away from anywhere - but you soon learn the best routes - its about a 10min walk to the bus stops at the san giovanni cathedral. The metro is about 10 mins away. If you are able you can walk into the city centre and across the tiber (we did this most days). Some reasonable places to eat are nearby. We enjoyed our stay!!!!!

Excellent service and location; Beautiful Boutique Hotel
Treated like royalty. Excellent service, friendly staff, comfortable rooms in a superb location. Staff gave excellent recommendations for dinner, transportation to local sights, and were ever so gracious with three adults staying in one room (three single beds, thank you very much). The art is beautiful and unique. Enjoyed lunch and wine in the garden courtyard. Breakfast is better than anything else I have ever had in Italy, elsewhere in Europe, and in the USA. Maria at the front desk is patient,multi-lingual, and ready to help with directions, transportation options, etc. She and the rest of the staff are excellent. This is more like a 5 star NYC quality hotel. A/C wasn't working, but it was cooler this May. One room mate didn't like the (minimal in my opinion) traffic noise, but ear plugs helped with that. Beautiful bougainvilleas, fountains, and gardens. Many cute retro objects d'arte in the lobby. An elevator helps with luggage. I would stay here again and again. Also, right less than three blocks from tram station, metro station, and even closer to buses. No problems with such good directions from the staff. A peaceful respite, but close enough to walk to the Colosseum. I love this place, and certainly will return.

GREAT HOTEL IN A GREAT AREA OF ROME
We loved this hotel! It was cute, clean, had a great garden area and a wonderful breakfast. The staff were helpful and friendly. We felt safe walking at night in this area.We had a family room and enjoyed looking out from the balcony at the aquaducts across the street and the orange tree from the garden sitting area.It was a short walk from everywhere-and we went everywhere in Rome on foot from here. It was also very close to the metro/subway if you prefer that.

Amazing value for money!
Location: 10 min walk from metro station Manzoni, or 2 minute walk to piazza maggiore which has multiple bus and tram connections to termini station, campo do fiore, colosseum and rome city centre. You will also find a super market, mobile shop (Tim and Vodafone), gellateria, pizza shops, restaurants, and cafes all within 5-10 min walking distance. There are also ruins right outside the hotel! Hotel amenities and comfort: beautiful hotel with lovely paintings, a mix of modern and antique furniture. Rooms were extremely comfortable. Wi-fi is available in all the rooms for free. Delicious breakfast served every morning (eggs, bacon, deli meats, cheeses, croissants, spreads, fruit,cereal and yum Italian coffee). Staff was very helpful - they have free umbrellas for guests if it rains. My wife and I spent 10 days in rome, florence and venice and this was our favourite hotel. I highly recommend staying here. Value for money.

Clean, Comfortable, and Great Neighborhood
Hotel Emona is located just two metro stops from Termini, or a short cab ride away. The area that the hotel is located is adorable and well kept. It felt like we were more local than in other parts of Rome. I would come back to this hotel and certainly this area again next time. The hotel itself is extremely quirky which adds to the nice feel of the hotel. If you have little kids, they might be giggling at all the paintings of naked people! Our room and bathroom were very clean, and the bed was actually softer than most hotels I've stayed at in Italy. We had to leave early for the airport, so we missed out on the breakfast. Staff was very helpful and friendly.
