I've been there with my girlfriend for 3 days and our impression was good. Clean and nice room, good position and price. The only downside it's the breakfast not included. If i'll return in Amsterdam in future, probably i'll come back here.

Some disappointments that would rule this hotel out
Short city break. Excellent location for city break. Food very good. Break marred by noise during the evening and night due to bins being emptied in rear yard by staff. This was very disruptive. We will not stay here again

Ideal Base in Amsterdam
We travelled with another couple and picked this hotel more by luck than judgement, but it was perfect . Five minutes from Waterlooplein metro and between Rembrant place and the Amstel, very central , an enjoyable pleasant walk to everywhere. Friendly, helpful staff, clean, comfortable rooms, not to big, but big enough , maybe a little functional, but we don't mind that. Nice bathrooms with lots of hot water. No fridge and would have liked an in-room tea/coffee set-up. Very comfortable beds. Nice piano/cocktail bar to finish the evening off, reasonably priced. This hotel will be our first choice when we go back to Amsterdam. ,

What a Surprising Hotel!
First Impressions are not good at this hotel....the desk is very young and you get the feel that they really do not care. This is the ONLY negative thing.The hotel is in a perfect location. The Concierge, all of them are AMAZING! The little bar off in the small lobby is run by the very best bartenders! The very best..between the bartenders and the concierge this was such a great hotel. The Concierge will give you the best advise, restaurants, side trips outside of Amsterdam and and just ASK! They are the best!

centre of Amsterdam memory hotel
I visited this hotel in Dec 2004 and I was attracted by quick accomodation in one person room with not deposit fee. All total money I was asked to pay just before departure but one night for one person small room with shower was regarding my view too expesive 40 EUR/night so I stayed there two nights for business and I was also attracted by breakfast offered for additional price 25 EUR on swedish style kind, before my departure. They have also good pub you can drink good Nederland's beer Amstel for cheap, only 2,5 EUR and food I eated pizza, good made. Also entry portier was very gentle with his super advice regarding directions to view Amsterdam especially this hotel is some metres from Laguna behind the road. Very easy to find it. My memories of staying there are good, but it does no touches my business. The best memories I remind from there were the gentle and helpfull staff ( I am disabled man).
