Best Western Aramis Saint-Germain
We look for a reasonable price, great staff, great location and a clean room and this hotel met all of the above. I liked that the hotel uses a sheet duvet instead of a germy bedspread found in most hotel rooms and the bed was comfortable. If you're a walker, it's easy to walk to all the sites. It's easy to take the Metro located across the hotel if you don't want to walk but take the other metro located steps from the hotel to the Sacr'e-Coeur, it's on that same metro line. The Luxembourg gardens are close to the hotel, we would stop after a long day of sightseeing and have a drink from the snackbar, sit and watch people and take in the sun. We found a couple of markets on the way to the gardens, it would've been easy to grab snacks and a bottle of wine and enjoy the views in the garden. They have plenty of chairs. The cafe across the street from the hotel has the best onion soup, you have to try it! We didn't sign up for the breakfast at the hotel so we can't review that but we would cross the street every morning and grab a pastry and coffee or tea for under 8 euros. The hotel area is located in the perfect spot, it's not too touristy, no souvenier stores but plenty of parisian shopping. Other areas located near the iconic sites are very crowded and you don't get to experience the true Parisian lifestyle. Leaving your key isn't a bother, you pass the reception area anyway, so no worries there. The staff is awesome and helpful. I would stay at Best Western Aramis again!!

Good value, short walk to restaurants and shopping
The staff was very professional and accomodating. Our room was on the third floor interior which is quiet. Keep in mind the hotel is on a busy street. The breakfast is very convenient and simple but a little on the pricey side. If you enjoy hunting for three meals a day, skip it.

Nice location for exploring Paris
We stayed here for three nights spring 2013 and had a lovely time. The hotel for us was a place to sleep only - and we did this with no problems. The place is clean and tiday - no frills though. We found the location very good, close to the metro, and close to Jardin Luxembourgh, where we enjoyed our breakfasts in the morning. I love St Germain and so for me this was a nice and practical option. The rooms are fairly small but then, that's Paris.

Good Hotel & Excellent Location in Saint Germain
We stayed here for two nights on 18th and 19th April 2013. The location is excellent, on a long street full of shops. The room was nice and clean, and "sound-proof". The staff were very helpful. Metro station is just across the road.

Great Stay with Exception of Problems with Hot Water
We stayed at this hotel for 14 days, during the second half of March, 2013. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay with the exception of water related issues that prevented us from being able to shower properly for 3 out of 14 days.The front desk personnel were friendly, caring, helpful, and spoke excellent English. The location was excellent, just across the street from the St. Placide metro stop. The room was nice, although a little on the small side. The bed and the pillows were fantastic, and the room was quiet except for some weekend late night street partying. We did not use the breakfast area, since there is an excellent small coffee shop cafe right across the street.Now for the water. On one day, there was no cold water. Hot water came out of both faucets. We complained, and were told that the hotel was having water problems. Then, after one day of normal water, the hot water went out for two days. This was at the very end of our stay, so we left for the airport without having showered for two days. We brought these issues up when we checked-out, and there was no offer of reimbursement for our trouble. This was disappointing to me.Bottom line, I would likely stay here again, but I would want assurances that water issues have been fixed.
