A Fantastic Hotel In A Fantastic Location
Stayed with my wife and son for one night. The location of the hotel is fantastic being a short walk from the Southbank of the Thames and the London Eye.Check in was 1400hrs and we arrived at 1145hrs and found our room was ready and available for us to use which again was really impressive.Car parking was onsight and ¿¿24 for 24 hours which for Central London I found reasonable. The room was clean and modern and the bed was very very comfy. My six year old boy had a huge pull out bed which he loved. The breakfast though quite expensive was a buffet style and everything you could wish for in a breakfast was there. It was also very well cooked and very enjoyable. On the whole an excellent experience and on future visits to london we will definately be using this hotel again

As expected
Fairly uninspiring, but as expected. Hotel was clean and functional. However for the price, which I think was expensive even given location, breakfast was poor, the bar was average and the bedrooms sparse. However location is very good, so depends on what is more important to you.

GOOD LOCATION, VERY COMFY BED AND EXCEPTIONAL VALUE FOR MONEY CHILDREN'S MEALS
The location of this hotel is excellent. It is very close to Lambeth Palace and the Houses of Parliament and within easy walking distance of most of the other London landmarks you may wish to see (Buckingham Palace, London Eye, Downing Street, etc all within 15-20 minute stroll). We travelled as a family - us two plus our 6 year old son. He had a fold out double sofa bed all to himself (which he loved) and our queen size bed was very, very comfy. The only downside was that there was not much floor space in the room due to the sofa bed being used. The public areas of the hotel were modern and clean. There was a nice playroom for young children in the reception/bar area - quite small, but a nice additional touch. Some of the corridors seemed to be the process of being redecorated so didn't look too great but on the whole the hotel decor seemed in reasonable order.On-site parking was available at this hotel which we liked. The car park is underneath the hotel and is fairly small and some of the spaces could be quite difficult to get into when busy but it is more preferable than parking at a nearby NCP car park. The price was in line with the rest of London, ie fairly expensive, but when you work it out hourly I don't suppose it's that bad (worked out at about ¿¿1 per hour). We ate in the hotel bar (you could eat from the same menu in the restaurant or out in the bar). I was absolutely gobsmacked by the quality and price of my son's 3 course "child's meal". There was a choice of about six different dishes for starter, main and dessert. He had soup, fish fingers and chocolate brownie with ice cream. The soup came and was a lovely homemade tomato soup in a proper, adult-sized soup bowl with a small bread roll. Then came five fish fingers served with chips and peas (my son only managed a couple of them). Lastly came a lovely dessert of two small choc brownies served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. All this for a ¿¿5 - the only complaint I could make is that there was too much for a child to eat!I had a mushroom and cheese omelette which was very nicely prepared and tasted good. My husband had a rib-eye steak which was also well cooked and nicely presented. The breakfast was pretty standard for this type of hotel - all the usuals including cereal, toast, croissants, various fruits and, of course, English breakfast cooked items. Pricey we thought at ¿¿18.95 for a full English but ours was included in the room price and children eat free anyway.Would definitely stay here again.

Lovely Break
We had a lovely 5 day break in London and stayed at the Novotel Waterloo. Lovely hotel, very clean and modern and very close to a lot of the attractions in London. Close to a bus stop and close also to the Hop on Hop off bus stop, Friendly staff and very helpful - will go to this hotel again when in London

Good for short family stay
We stayed here with two young children (6 and 8) in a superior room for three nights. The hotel is very close to the river bank so in a few minutes you can be walking with along with a great view of the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben, and the London Eye is perhaps a 15 minute walk away. In terms of shopping you need to travel however, there are not even any regular high street shops or restaurants close by.The 'Superior' room was adequately sized for a double bed and sofa bed. Both beds were comfortable. The separate toilet and bathroom was a plus. The breakfast buffet was good quality and provided all the usual choices. We ended up using the hotel restaurant in the evenings and found it to be excellent - good food and reasonably priced, including the children's menus.Staff at reception and in the hotel restaurant were friendly and extremely helpful.Criticism:Storage in the room was very limited. The small hanging cupboard contained just 4 hangars. Otherwise there was a small drawer and two tiny shelves. Not much for a family of 4.The TV interface was heavily geared to selling you a hugely expensive entertainment package which meant you couldn't really give the remote to a child.Although the bathroom was very clean the drain of the sink was a bit smelly when used. The walls of the corridors on our floor seemed to be being redecorated, although I didn't see any signs mentioning this.Locks on the doors of the bathroom and toilet would be appreciated.Overall the hotel was great for our short stay, with a good location for certain attractions, a very family-friendly restaurant, and outstanding staff.
