Great staff
The difference between an ok hotel experience and a very good one is the hotel's staff and their attitude/professionalism. My associate and I had the opportunity to stay at the Holiday Inn Binghamton Downtown a few days ago and must say the staff their really stepped up and were highly attentive to our needs during our brief stay. Of note, Ericka (who was handling the restaurant during our stay) provided us with great service coupled with a fun, yet highly professional, attitude. In fact, as we continued to be in the area working, we visited the restaurant a couple of other times because of our great experience with Ericka (and yes the food is good too!). The hotel also has a great bar with a nice vibe to it. Rooms and other amenities were typical of a hotel at this price point. The area around the hotel is definitely worth exploring with a lot of good bars, restaurants, etc. within walking distance.

Great Hotel
This is my first visit to the Holiday Inn in Binghamton. I usually stay in a hotel in Vestal, which is a short drive from downtown Binghamton. It was a great surprise to find this hotel. It is located in downtown Binghamton, and nearby some great local restaurants. The hotel has a restaurant and bar in the hotel which looked very nice as well. I was checked in by a very friendly girl at the front desk, I wish I could remember her name. She recommended a great new local restaurant. My room was on the 8th floor with a great view of the river, and the bed was very comfortable. I had a great stay in this hotel, and I will be sure to stay there again when my travels bring me back to Binghamton.

Mixed Bag...
This is a very nice looking hotel with all the amenities but in the heart of the city. , I had so many things go wrong with the service it made my stay very unpleasant . The parking attendant was rude and un helpful. He made me park in a spot very far from the door even though there were many closer spots. Later when I got a permit from the desk and showed him my room key so I could move my car closer he applauded me! I might add I am a priority club member and there were close parking spots reserved for members. The desk did not know which room I was staying in because I was part of a group. They refused to take names from the group leader when booking the room.so I had to hunt for the right room. (Too long of a story) I and others in my party asked them to lock the conference room after the meetings because we had equipment in there. It took asking at least three attendants and a 30 minute wait for this to happen. The air conditioner in our conference room was on full blast and the room was freezing... Repeated requests were made ... They finally fixed it the very last of 3 meetings. On the flip side the rooms were very clean. The food was excellent and some of the staff was very polite and tried to be helpful.

Some toilet paper, soaps and shampoos plus bed linens would be nice.
I think housekeeping got lazy with this room, barely any toiletries or paper! This was a double bed room, one bed missing linens...a bath mat would have been nice for getting out of the tub...other than killing yourself on the tiles. Other than these issues, location is great, parking is small lot shared with plaza/galleria, rest of hotel seems nice as far as decor. I dont know if I'll be back, left a bad taste in my mouth.

We just checked out today from a Bachlorette party-- The service was excellent!!! There was an issue with our room(s) we booked. But Stephanie at the front desk, was wonderful at accommodating us. Thank you for the excellent customer service!
