We stayed here for 4 nights in April and did enjoy our stay. Our semi double room was very clean (spotless in fact) and had everything we needed including a small fridge and a full complement of toiletries. The room was a bit smaller than we had hoped for, in Japan the rooms are generally small but this was one of the smallest we had encountered. The two of us moving around the room was like a game of sliding tiles - one had to move one way so that the other could get through. The bathroom was rather small too but was again very clean and had what you needed to use in a bathroom. We stored our 2 larges cases against the wall but they were a bit in the way, the only place we could open them was to lay them on the bed. If you can put up with the small room size - everything else about this hotel was very good.You had to use your room key to gain access to the lift which made things feel even safer.The reception staff were helpful and spoke enough English to help us when needed. If not, I just put the words into google translate and showed them the outcome - that seemed to work too as we always got what we asked for!There is a communal microwave available for use which was really handy if we bought a ready meal from one of the convenience stores - a Sun Rus, Seven Eleven and Family Mart are all very close by - within a 5/6 minute walk.The hotel is very close to the Tokyo Metro line (Ningyocho station). When exiting the station use exit number 4 - bear in mind there are a few stairs to the outside. When you reach the outside, look left and you will see at the top of the buildings the words APA Hotel, this is the one to head for. It's only about a 2 minute easy walk from the station exit. The area is very quiet and felt very safe - as did everywhere else we went to in Japan.The in room internet was also fast and reliable.All in all we did enjoy our stay, the location was good for accessing the metro to see the tourist attractions and the bed was really really comfortable so we got some excellent sleep. The aircon seemed to have a mind of its own at times and would heat up when we wanted to cool down - easily sorted to just opened the window!

Room cleaning is really bad!!! Location close to metro and restaurants, bars and cafes. Very lively neighborhood at night. authentic japanese. Small rooms but with all facilities. Free wi-fi in rooms and lobby. Very helpful service. Metro with direct service to narita airport.

This hotel seems to be well maintained. The experience was great overall, and I enjoyed the spacious bath tub (especially as I have been deprived of a bath tub while living in Korea!) The room was a bit bigger than I expected after reading so many complaints about tiny hotel rooms in Japan. It provided for a good starting point for my weekend getaway in Tokyo. There are some restaurants, coffee shops (including Starbucks), temples, and subway stops rather close by. It was about $150 Canadian Dollars per night (which is a lot for the room size but that's to be expected in the area). The bed was absolute heaven - I wish I could've brought the bed and pillows with me on my flight home! Overall, the staff were friendly and called a cab for me the night previous to my departure. The only annoying aspect was the lack of shuttle service to the airport from the hotel - so If you have an early flight to catch, you'll have to do your own investigating as to the accessibility to the airport.

Stayed at the APA Hotel Ningyocho again this week. I took a "C" style room, the biggest type, which I think is well-worth the extra in most cases (room rate I paid was 8,800 yen, standard room was 7,700 for that day).Bath tub is still very small, but does it's job. Room and bed size are fine for me for a short stay.As usual, everything worked as expected, check-in / out was almost instant and the hotel remains clean, new and well-maintained.I hadn't noticed before, but the local subway station has direct trains to both Haneda and Narita airports.
