If I'm using HotDollars, why am I sometimes asked to enter a payment method?
HotDollars can be used to book your trip, but they cannot be used to pay for additional features. If you choose additional features, like insurance (Trip Protection or Rental Car Protection), you will be asked to enter a payment method to cover these features. Also, if the cost of your trip is more than your HotDollars balance, you will be asked for a payment method to cover the additional amount.
