Can I use a debit card for deposit at the car rental counter?
Some rental agencies may allow you to use a debit card for deposit at the car rental counter although some vendors and/or locations may apply additional restrictions. Some of those additional restrictions could include, but are not limited to the following:
- Minimum debit card hold requirements
- Local renter restrictions
- Residency restrictions
- Deplaning requirements
- Return ticket requirements
- Credit checks
- Car class restrictions
- Mileage restrictions
- Geography restrictions
- Identity verification (2 recent, original, not past due utility bills and most recent pay stub matching address on drivers license)
- Proof of insurance
- Additional driver restrictions
