The hotel is adjoined to the barcelo playa however the contrast between the 2 parts could not be more different. As an adults only premium guest the pool area is much quieter with lots of sunbeds and large balinese beds to relax on. Breakfast and lunch are served poolside and is probably the best all inclusive food ive eaten. Dinners can be taken anywhere in the hotel however i found the standard less than at lunch and breakfast so chose to eat out twice. The bar staff are extremely friendly plus all drinks are premium so you get bombay sapphire, smirnoff you name it. The rooms are all sea facing as well with amazing views over the atlantic. The only drawback is that the beach(absolutely beautiful) is around a 15 min walk downhill. Coming back can be quite tiring but it is definitely worth the trek. There is not much in Jandia itself, also its geared toward a more german clientele so i wouldnt advise coming here for 2 weeks unless you are prepared to be content with sitting pool or beach side all day. Also the locals warned me of a searing hot wind that blows from the sahara in the summer bringing with it lots of sand particles so the best times to visit are April/May or Sept/October for pleasant temperatures.

What a way to spend the end of a chilly March. In lovely surroundings, child free in the Club Premium Section of this Barcelo hotel, with glorious hot weather. Arrived and quickly checked in by Angela, and luggage taken to room. The staff are amazing, thanks go to Angela, Marcos, Freddy, Luis, and the rest of the dedicated team. Nothing is too much trouble for any of them, always pleasant and willing to please their customers. Rooms on 2nd floor are lovely, with stunning sea views (245). Mini bar was stocked with Cava, beer, fizzy pop and water on arrival and water is restocked every day.Food is plentiful and exquisitely presented with careful attention to details. Fresh eggs, omelettes available every day, along with the usual cold buffet and sweet pastries. Lunch time you could choose from meat or fish cooked to order along with the heated tray items, plentiful salads and sweet dishes to die for. Evening meal is taken in the Rincon de Jandia where the food is of a very high standards, different choices and again exquisitely presented.The hotel is exceptionally clean and well cared for, and the Club Premium section is well worth the extra cost. Lovely big Jacuzzi pool, and 2 swimming pools, plenty of sunbeds and shaded areas.The Bar Verde is a modern room and premium spirits are available, exclusively for Premium Club guests and Gin & tonics served in 'fish bowls' massive !!!! Ask and you would receive.You can take a nice walk along the gorgeous coastline of jandia beach into the town, which takes about 20 minutes and there are plenty of shops and bars.We had no desire to visit the rest of the Hotel AI inclusive areas............................ stayed here for our honeymoon I have have stayed at a barcelo in colette de fuste before so new I would have a good holiday.all staff couldn't do enough for you. We was premium guests so u got to no staff as they seemed to be a smaller number of staff to look after you. Angela who is in charge of premium guests was so lovely always a smile a Hello when u walked passed her desk or in the morning she does her job so well. louis was like a gentle giant with a huge smile and big hugs from him. freddy and nebal both great sense of humor. and a guy whose name I can't pronounce who seemed to b front of house was so polite considerate and nothing was to much trouble. chambermaids all lovely and kept rooms and communal areas immaculate. our room was just lovely. upon arrival your mini bar is fully stocked and makes you feel special. room had everything you needed. bed so comfortable. bathroom was just lovely. lovely view of premium pool and bar area and jhandia beach you never got fed up with view. We was in room 241 and it was perfect. You can trust staff left laptop mobiles money in full view you never felt you had to hide anything we did have a safe but if you left something out you new it was there when you got back were you left it. You can see all staff take pride in there jobs also took pride in looking after guests. food Oh my god stunning lovely delicious and lunch in the club Atlantico in the pool area. waiter service with your drinks gives you that special guest feeling. food choice was brilliant always something new to try and all so pretty esp desserts. Well done catering staff. evening meal is served in the Al la carte restaurant. I ate food that I had never tried before it was all well presented tasted so nice. Again drinks all waiter service. Same staff that was around the premium guests so they new what you wanted before you asked. Also being premium means that only gold band bracelets can eat and drink in premium areas so meal times are peaceful and relaxing. We ate in the main buffet restaurant and was lots of choice for food but you do appreciate being premium guests. pool and surrounding area just lovely always clean tidy and peaceful. Just what you want to relax.Green room premium guests bar what can I say had the best nights out in there cocktails yummy. again staff made you feel so welcome. I can't praise this hotel enough our honeymoon was just brill here and I am so glad we went there. I have been to fuerteventura 8 times always have had fab time. First time we stayed in this resort. I have fallen in love with Jandia morro jable resort and can't wait to go back as so much to see and do. If you get the chance go to cofete I promise you will be blown away. We hired a car so we went all over the Island and the views are just stunning. I love this island and never get bored here but this was a special holiday and we stayed at a hotel that made us feel special. so thank you angela and staff esp louis for making our honeymoon the best holiday in the world.

We arrived late and so the premium reception area was closed. We therefore went to the main reception where the staff were helpful. Luggage was taken to room and shortly thereafter dinner arrived. All hassle free. Beds were comfortable and shower excellent. Following morning woke up to a great view (2nd floor) Breakfast in the premium area was relaxed with plenty of choice. Staff always friendly. Pool area comfortable, slight noise from the main hotel pool area we found entertaining, not an issue. We were on 'half board' as we wanted to explore elsewhere and so only had lunch on one day,which was also very good. Dinner, small selection but ample as each night it was different and again of a very good standard. All the staff that we encountered were charming and friendly. Cannot comment on the Spa as we did not use it. We hired a car for one day at the hotel and went up into the mountains and explored Pozo Negro, Betancuria, Ajuy to name a few, all worth a visit. the old part of Morro Jable is also worth a visit especially the restaurants by the sea wall, in particular Pizzeria Vesubio. All in all a very relaxing and happy time, would recommend.

We travelled at the start of March 2013 and booked the week with Thomas Cook. Didn't start very well as Thomas Cook dropped us off at the wrong hotel - the Barcel¿¿ Jandia Mar at the top of the hill. This was not the first time apparently and it is a shame that neither TC management nor Barcel¿¿ management had sorted this problem out. The dedicated check-in promised in the brochure when we eventually arrived had closed so had to use the normal check-in - this was a bit rushed and we were not provided with any Premium specific guide of where items within the overall very large complex were located. Room was reasonable quality and we were provided with a ground floor room with a veranda (which we had asked for) although subsequently heard that all TC guests are located on the ground floor because of the "negotiated rates". Our room got the morning sun (hotel is east facing) and you can hear furniture/footsteps from the other rooms as typically no carpets/floor coverings! Most of the Premium staff speak some English, but the ma¿¿tre-d in charge of the A-la-carte restaurant in the evening has limited English (he also only appeared to have one half day off all week). This is located at the far end of the main hotel complex block away from the Premium area. The first day's breakfast was a disaster. We didn't know where the Premium buffet was located, and as we were hungry went looking where we had eaten before. The main buffet is underneath this, and is like a down market cafeteria. Very noisy, very busy and the orange juice was watered down to a high degree. After a short while we walked out and then fortunately located the correct Premium food restaurant. The difference is staggering. Peaceful. Relaxed. Excellent choice. Fresh squeezed orange juice every morning. Omelette's cooked to order (but they use huge quantities of salt!). Restaurant veranda has tables so if you like to eat in the sun, you have this option, as well as tables under cover and inside. Pool sun beds plentiful and comfortable, but the Premium pools and Jacuzzi were not heated (although they started to warm up later, we didn't use them). Some covered areas if the sun gets too much. You can just see the sea from certain points and by the way, the beach is at the bottom of the hill on the other side of the main F2 road (can be reached by underpass) and then via 3 paths over the salt marshes. Weather overall was mostly sunny, but we had a severe depression go through and one day it rained heavily (management in main reception certainly now aware that they have some leaks that really should be fixed!). No cover between the Premium rooms area and the Premium restaurant which is unfortunate on the rare occasions where it rains like the UK! Also, due to the position of the resort at the south of the island and the highest point being due west, every afternoon it clouded over. Probably due to the time of year and prevailing winds, but this was disappointing for us. Premium pool bar open during the day and served by the staff also serving the restaurant so they need a bell or something so guests don't end up waiting for too long. Daily English paper is available at the bar. Lunch is buffet style again and a different meat and fish available to be cooked to order as well as pre-prepared items as well. Quality food again and the same staff are utilised every meal and throughout the week. The pool bar provides drinks in "safe" receptacles if you want to drink round the pool. The advertised afternoon cakes are actually what deserts and ice cream are left after the lunch service has closed so are available on a "self serve" basis. A Premium bar was opened in the evening part way through the week (thank goodness as there is otherwise no seating) - colour scheme of this is "interesting" and it has 2 large flat screen TVs, inside and outside terrace seating. New barman who started during the week is excellent and speaks excellent English. The a-la-carte restaurant also has "inte
