Stayed at this hotel a few years ago . The original hotel we booked [The Elba Sara] was overbooked .What a difference 1 star makes ,it was lovely . The only thing was that we would have liked a room with balcony as we ended up with a terrace .The staff and food were good room excellent with large wet room and bath robe ,you can get a large towel for the beach or pool .Would recommend this hotel .

5 star facilites, service lacking.Kids club was fantasic, the staff wonderful. There is a large room for art and craft and a ball play area. Very spacious and a lovely temperature. There is a small park adjacent to this room and at 5.30 most days they have a disco for 30 mins in the hotel. I would feel happy to leave my child there and not worry at all.(but I didn't) . The kids pool sun loungers get full very quickly so I would suggest you get your sunbeds at 10am when the towel man arrives. The gym is 24hours after a certain time they lock it and then you just go to reception and they will open it for you. This is just for health and safetly and the night staff were so wonderful. I use to go to the gym around 6am and it was no problem at all. THANK YOU.The breakfast buffet was wonderful and had everything you needed, they even had a microwave and plastic bowls, plates, cups and cutlery for the kids and baby food so you could heat it up. The usual omlette stations, full english, pastries etc.The cocktails bar was never busy but they staff were very efficient when you were there. There was a games room with pool, air hockey, table tennis, never very busy but kept my little one occupied for an hour. The reception team were amazing on arrival, just made the start of our holiday very special. (Thank you).The pool area really didn't have a food and drink service. 2 days out of 7 I saw someone to ask for a menu. One of the days I then had to wait for over an hour and then gave up and went to order from the restaurant. They said they would be with me in 5 minutes and forgot, so I sat in the restaurant with my 4 yr old for lunch. The manager said he forgot and took my order, the order was incorrect, this was resolved quickly. I then ordered another drink which didn't arrive. Really after eating lunch at 3pm instead of 12.30 when I initiailly wanted food for my child, I really couldn't be bothered to ask again. I then decided to walk a short walk to the Alantico for lunch daily. It was inconvenient, but the food was good and service was fast, it was acutally quicker to walk there, order, eat and get back before you would even get service around the pool.The hotel FACILITIES is a definate winner 5 star all round. The Reception Team are amazing as the restaurant team. The same restaurant staff work the Veranda Bar and it could be that they are too stretched in this restaurant, but I have never experience such bad service, when I received it!The housekeeping was very slow. Sometimes my room was not cleaned by 4pm and I had to call down. Not sure how they work their rota as the housekeeping was 2 doors away early in the morning, but never seemed to clean our room until very late, a bit awkward as I wanted my little one to have an nap so we could stay up late. They also never changed the glasses we used or the cups. They didn't restock the fridge, so I bought my own drinks after 2 days, which I suppose is cheaper, but not what I expected from a Sheraton Hotel. One day I had to go after them as I was fed up of taking tea and coffee up from breakfast. There is some wasteland next door if you walk across it there are lots and lots of very cheap restaurants and bars, souvenier shops and play areas. There is also a small train that goes around the area and cost ¿¿¿1.50. On Saturday there is a market at the top of the hill, it's not much cheaper than some of the shops but it is nice to take the little train up there.If you walk to the end of the shops there is a great Italian Restaurant next to the kids play area, if you go across the zebra crossing and keep walking straight, there are more restaurants and even cheaper shops. It's work asking for a discount on all the perfumes, you should get one. Generally the hotel is 5 star and from other people I spoke to it seems to be the nicest one in the area as they all wanted to look over our fence (LOL!!!). I have returned from a four night stay in this lovely hotel. The staff were fantastic, friendly and could not have been more helpful. The hotel is well maintained and has lovely pools and gardens. The purpose of my visit was to have some much needed R&R. At the outset I had requested an accessible room and as I had stayed in other Sheraton hotels, I had expected that the disabled rooms would be standard in each Sheraton branded hotel. This was not the case and in my opinion, the ensuite bathroom is NOT suitable for disabled users. The toilets are the usual low seating in Spain and had only one grab rail in the ensuite bathroom. The disabled bathrooms had a bath whereas the regular bathrooms and a walk in shower and a bath. There is no way I as a disabled person could assess the bath. I also believe that one grab rail is inadequate. The disabled toilets in the public areas had two grab rails. As a result of the shortcomings in the disabled bathroom, I would not recommend this hotel to disabled guests but think it would be lovely for a quite break for abled bodied guests. I also thought the beds and pillows were not soft.

We have just spent a week in this hotel and could not fault it staff go out of there way to help and are so friendly food was of a very high standard and rooms are lovely and clean would recommend this hotel to my friends not much in the way of entertainment in the evening so if you want a lively hotel this may not be for you it's only a short walk to centre and four euros in taxi back all in all a great holiday thanks Sheraton and all your wonderfull staff

We have just arrived back from a week's stay at the end of May.Positives- nice room- great balcony with pool and sea view- well kept pool area- plenty of sunbeds- excellent access to the beachNegatives- upon arrival in the evening, room only set up for 2 people. Had to wait whilst additional beds were brought up, furniture moved etc- le veranda restaurant. We were on full board and ate here each day for lunch. On the first day we ordered starters and mains. Only the starters arrived so we questioned where the mains were. The waiter disappeared and re-appeared with the "manager" who appeared ready for a fight, letting us know we had had our courses. On other occasions, items we ordered were incorrect (don't attempt to replace anything when ordering e.g. Chips instead of mashed potatoes), we received 3 meals instead of 4, we were allowed an ice cream with one meal, but the next day the waiter came running over to tell us we were not allowed to do the same that day, and on the final day my daughter ordered lamb chops with chips. It came with mash so we asked for it to be changed, as requested when ordering. It was changed very quickly, but on tasting the chips they were cold and already had got salt and vinegar on them (which makes me wonder if they were taken from a returned plate that was sat on the side). The service in this restaurant is certainly very poor and not of Sheraton standards.- on the first day we bought 2 rubber rings for our girls, as sold in the Sheraton shop. We were in the heated pool and the lifeguard came over and advised they were not allowed inflatables in the heated pool and if they wanted to use them they would need to go into the much deeper, very much colder, unheated pool. He would not listen to reason that they were swimming aids and told me that these were the hotel rules. After discussing the matter with management, they agreed that young children using a swimming aid should be allowed in the heated pool but again it was a case of having to argue with the staff first.- beware the tropical and parrot children's show. After the short shows your children will be invited to have a photo with the animals. But don't try taking your own photo as not particularly nice Spaniards will tell you to stop. One parent attempted to take a photo and a hand was thrust in front of his camera phone and he was told in no uncertain terms what was thought of the act. They will take a photo and charge you 10 euros if you want it and if you don't, expect to be ushered away quite quickly. If they had explained that photos cost at the start, and maybe had some example photos available and told everyone that they respected they may want to take a photo but they would be able to provide a nicely framed professional photo, it would have been a better marketing strategy.In summary, it is a nice hotel (not in a particularly great setting) but it is by no means of Sheraton's high standard. The staff seem to be not accepting of issues when raised and are quick to tell you the rules of the hotel. One manager showed that he understood the meaning of customer service and that was Miguel, and he should be a role model for the other staff.Visiting a Sheraton hotel should be the same the world over in terms of standards of service. Indeed, when we visited Sheraton La Caleta it was indeed a very polished hotel. However, Sheraton Fuertaventura have some staff training to be done to improve the levels of service provided.
