We were looking for somewhere to stay after going to a sixtieth birthday celebration in nearby debenham. The White horse was a pleasant surprise.The room was clean and spacious and the shower was particularly good. The staff were all friendly and welcoming and the ambiance of the dining room was pleasant.The food was good ,good sized portions and well presented without being fussy.In the morning,breakfast was good and it was worth noting the my eggs were cooked exactly as asked for.The bread was very good and there was a refill of coffee ,if required. All in all it proved to be a good choice.my only issue is for tripadviser. Where are my badges?

Great atmosphere pub; spacious, tasteful, accommodations and super, friendly service. Breakfast was a delight! Dinners were also good value although the Thai Curry was below par. Stick to the traditional English fare! Would recommend this pub to all visitors!

This was our second visit to the hotel this year and its only March, we were so impressed on our first visit in January we decided to stay again when invited up to family birthday celebrations in Norwich, at first i was disappointed that we were not staying in the same room as before until i opened the door - wow, what a great room, very spacious, very clean and very welcoming. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the breakfast was superb, plenty of choice and all freshly cooked.The size of our room was very impressive, large and airy with a nice big bed to get lost in, the bathroom was a very good size with a bath and a shower inside the bath, plenty of tea making facilites.

We stayed here on 5th/6th January 2013 in order to attend a birthday party. We booked about 6 weeks ahead and were given a very competetive rate - so were not quite sure what we would be getting. Our room was No 8 - disabled accom, although neither of us are. They gave us this room as we specifically wanted a king sized bed or twin beds and they had neither available at the time of booking. The room was large, very clean and comfortable with plenty on the in room coffee/tea tray. The bed was firm and comfortable.On a cold day we found the efficient heating very welcome. Plenty of hot water in the spacious, clean shower room. Nice soft white towels.We had our evening meal in the restaurant and it was lovely. The menu is varied and very reasonably priced. I wanted only the soup and sandwich meal deal they offered as I didn't think I was particullarly hungry. The soup was home-made, really thick and very tasty, the sandwich was filled to bursting and it all came with a substantial salad garnish - actually the whole thing was as much as a full meal! And - yes - I ate the lot because it was so delicious.Breakfast was great, plenty of options and everything very nicely cooked. Served by very pleasant staff.Would we stay here again? You bet.

We stayed here for a night to attend a friends wedding at Yaxley hall,We stayed in room 11 which was an eaves room with a huge shower room. Plenty of storage room with a well stocked hospitality tray, nothing was too much trouble for the staff here, they gave me a number of taxi to try. Breakfast was excellent All way through it seemed to be newly decorated
