We stayed here for one night (3 people, two rooms). Our main reason for choosing the Laburnum was because they are happy to take dogs and are reasonably near the airport. Very nice, clean 70s style house.Rooms were a little small, but I suppose average for this type oft B & B, however room was clean and beds were comfortable, nice toiletries. Hostess was friendly and was happy for us to play with our dog in their garden, lovely garden! She recommend a pub for dinner and the food was exceptionally good.Breakfast was very tasty and I particularly appreciated the fresh fruit and cooked breakfast was tasty.

We attended a wedding at Style last weekend and chose to stay for 2 nights at Laburnum Cottage. A very warm welcome from Stephanie, David, their 4 year old son, Ronnie and the cat. We were in room 1 - clean and comfortable, but rather cramped for space. Breakfasts were good and the 3 course dinner was excellent. We live in the peaceful countryside of north Cumbria and we did find the noise from both the busy road and the flightpath from nearby Manchester Airport very disturbing.

I go to Knutsford every year in June/July and it is a pleasure to spend some weeks at Laburnum Cottage with two very special owners. I usually stay in the upstairs room in the annex with a private entrance; both rooms in the annex are large, clean, and confortable with all conveniences; but I am sure also the other rooms in the main building are the same. The guest house is conveniently located even if you do not have a car, as the bus stops in front of the entrance to the front garden. If you stay at Laburnum you'll enjoy very rich breakfasts and I strongly suggest you should have dinner there at least once to try the owner's dishes; he cooks very well and the service is perfect. There is a very relaxed atmosphere; that's what I enjoy most. Moreover the guest house is surrounded by a large garden in the back that's perfect when travelling with children or if you want to sit outside. Therefore Laburnum Cottage has everything I look for when I travel to Knutsford.

We stayed four nights whilst visiting family in the area and were very pleased we'd chosen this excellent establishment (on the basis of its very convenient location and the positive TripAdvisor reviews). Our room (3) was small but pleasant and clean, overlooking the large garden. The bed was comfortable, there was plenty of wardrobe and cupboard space, a modern wall-mounted TV and a courtesy tray of drinks and chocolate biscuits. The ensuite shower room was very good - very clean and well-appointed, complete with a range of toiletries. Towels were replaced daily on request. Laburnum Cottage is very close to Manchester Airport, but we were hardly aware of any noise indoors - triple glazing in our room helped, though there is very little overnight flying. There is plenty of off-road parking which is well-lit at night. Breakfast in the morning was of a high standard -plenty of fruit juice, cereals, toast, fresh fruit, and a very good 'full English'! David and Stephanie, the owners, run a very good establishment - they are friendly, well-organised and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. We visit the Knutsford area a couple of times a year and will certainly stay at Laburnum Cottage again. At ¿¿64 B and B per night for both of us, it is a bargain! There are some great places to eat out in Mobberley - The Roebuck, The Bull's Head and The Frozen Mop which all have deserved reputations for good food. We have struggled to find decent places to stay in the Knutsford area, and were scarred by two recent stays at the appalling DeVere Mottram Hall which is probably the worst hotel experience we've had anywhere in the world! Our faith has been restored - and at less than half the price! - by Laburnum Cottage. Many thanks David and Stephanie, and we'll be back.

We stopped off at Laburnum Cottage en-route to the North East from the South West and stayed for just one night. We arranged Dinner in advance and arrived late, tired and looking forward to putting the nightmare journey of M5/M6 behind us (tip - don't do this journey on a Friday during daylight hours). What a pleasure this place is, the hosts are very friendly and the cooking was great, our accomodation was clean, comfortable and spacious and we honestly could have extended our stay from an overnight stop and made Laburnum Cottage our holiday destination instead. The road noise was minimal and didn't disturb us at all, and although the house sits under the flight path from Manchester Airport, there are no departures or arrivals late at night so the only aircraft noise you will hear is during the day anyway. Personally I found it mesmorising to watch these great silver birds defying gravity and providing a free air display, I could have sat & watched them all day.
