Note that while you may pay for your car rental booking with a debit card, many car rental companies will not accept a debit card as a deposit when you pick up the vehicle, and you will be denied rental. International car rental companies accept only credit cards and require that you have as much as $1,000 in available funds on your card. For domestic car rental companies, you must have at least $200 available on your credit card or-for those companies who accept them--your debit card.
