A: Yes. You'll need to present a valid credit card issued to the guest name on your reservation for any incidental charges (e.g., phone calls, room service). Debit cards are not acceptable.
A valid ID, issued to the guest name on your reservation, is also required at check-in. International hotels usually request identification and proof of citizenship. This can be established by presenting either: 1) a passport, or 2) a driver's license and an original (or a certified copy) of a birth certificate.

A: Make sure you have the correct visa and that your passport is up to date in advance of travel. Since all Hotwire bookings are final, we recommend checking your visa and passport status (to ensure they are current/valid) prior to booking on our site.

All hotels require a valid credit card and some also require a valid ID and proof of citizenship (passport or birth certificate). The ID and credit card should match the guest name under which the room is reserved. Hotels will require a credit card authorization to guarantee payment of any incidental charges you may incur during your stay. The amount of available credit needed will vary by hotel. Any incidental charges -- such as parking, local phones calls, room service, etc. -- are additional and payable directly to the hotel at checkout time. Other hotel charges -- including resort fees or convention fees -- must also be paid when you check out. Once you book a hotel reservation, we recommend that you contact your hotel to ask about any additional charges.
