A: Yes. Additional drivers must be present and added to your rental agreement when you pick up the rental car. There may be a charge for each additional driver; Hotwire Limited Rates cover only one driver. The rate for additional drivers will be determined by the car-rental agency.
Please note that any additional drivers must be at least 25 years of age with a valid driver's license and a credit card in their name. Please see important information on credit card requirements.

A: To reserve special equipment — such as child safety seats, cell phones, ski racks or hand controls — please call the car-rental agency at the number shown on your confirmation before the scheduled pick-up date to check availability.
Special equipment is not included in Hotwire rates and may be subject to additional charges. Car-rental agencies' ability to accommodate special requests may be subject to availability. If you have any crucial needs, we recommend booking directly with the rental agency rather than through Hotwire.

A: Hotwire's rates do not include insurance. You have the option to purchase Rental Car Protection during the Hotwire checkout process, or through Access America, a Hotwire partner. Prior to your pick-up date, you may want to check with your personal insurance provider to determine whether or not your auto, homeowners or renter's policy covers rental cars. You may also want to check with your credit card company for possible insurance coverage.
